Leeds Playhouse – named the UK's Most Welcoming Theatre at the recent UK Theatre Awards – has announced its Spring/Summer 2023 season of major, state-of-the-world stories, produced with freshness and urgency, and each epic in their own distinctive way.

The Halloween season is upon us and the folks at Kavinoky Theatre have capitalized on the eerie and sometimes gruesome story that is Stephen King's MISERY. Thanks to the blockbuster 1990 movie adaptation featuring the fascinatingly devious Kathy Bates, the story has some name recognition. Bates went on to win the Academy Award for Best Actress , allowing no one to ever be comfortable with the thought of a sledge hammer by a bedside. High marks across the board can be given to all involved in this creepy tale that opened on Friday night.

All new production photos have been released from the Broadway revival of August Wilson’s The Piano Lesson, ahead of the show’s opening night tonight, Thursday, October 13th at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre.

From October 11th-16th, we will be presenting multiple performances of four different plays, both new and from our repertory, in festival style with weekly all-access tickets available as well as tickets to individual performances. Wu Man, “the world's finest player of the pipa” (The New York Times), is joined by one of her Silkroad Ensemble bandmates, shakuhachi virtuoso Kojiro Umezaki, on a new album, Flow (流芳), released by In a Circle Records (ICR). Peter Mark Richman, the acclaimed actor, author, playwright and artist, died of natural causes at his home in Woodland Hills, California at 10:00 AM on January 14, 2021. He was 93.
