The cast of 'ANNE FRANK, a musical', based on Anne Frank's life will feature 12 artists on stage to recreate Anne Frank's life filled with the touching music and lyrics written by Jean Pierre Hadida. This production marks the U.S Off-Broadway Premiere of this successful French musical which will be performed for the first time in English (adapted by Dylan Hadida). Directed and produced by David Serero, this new Off-Broadway production will take place at the Center for Jewish History (15 West 16th Street New York 10016), originally produced by Francine Disegni for Broadway Mad Production, Simon & Michal Kalfon.

The French Institute Alliance Fran aise (FIAF), New York's premier French cultural and language center, today announced the 2019 Crossing the Line Festival, featuring 11 performances and a gallery exhibition from a geographically, generationally, and artistically diverse group of artists whose work transcends genres and boundaries. All performances are world, US, or New York premieres; they are united by their convention-breaking fearlessness as they confront topics from social injustice to personal demons. Many of the performances pay homage to legendary artists of our time and previous eras, while the theme of migration and its transformational effects on identity informs several others. Artistic Director Helgi Tomasson and San Francisco Ballet today announced programming for the 2020 Repertory Season. Building on a heritage of commissioning groundbreaking dance from today's top choreographers, uncovering new choreographic talent, staging modern classics, and preserving the works that make up the canon of classic ballet, the 2020 Season places SF Ballet at the forefront of innovation and preeminence. Highlights include two new SF Ballet commissions by Cathy Marston and Trey McIntyre, and a co-commission with American Ballet Theatre of a work by Alexei Ratmansky; as well as works by George Balanchine, David Dawson, Harald Lander, Edwaard Liang, Benjamin Millepied, Mark Morris, Liam Scarlett, Helgi Tomasson, and Stanton Welch. The Season's three story ballets include Balanchine's A Midsummer Night's Dream, Wheeldon's Cinderella, and Tomasson's Romeo & Juliet.

British composer and electronic producer Circles And Ellipses is set to release 'Burn:Cycle Reworks' on 22nd February via Here & Now Recordings; a follow-up EP to the original soundtrack of the 1994 video game Burn:Cycle, the first ever video game soundtrack to feature orchestral music, consisting of four reimagined electronic compositions. Originally composed and produced by both Chris Whitten and BAFTA-nominated British film score composer, conductor, producer and musician Simon Boswell in the early '90s for the adventure video-game title published by Philips Interactive Media, Chris Whitten now returns as Circles And Ellipses to share reworks of this classic game soundtrack. Whitten's musical journey has been a vast and impressive one so far, from producing classic '80s hit-singles such as 'What I Am' by Edie Brickell & New Bohemians (which currently boasts 10 million views on YouTube alone), to providing drums for 'The Whole of the Moon' by The Waterboys and the legendary Sir Paul McCartney's 1989 album 'Flowers In The Dirt' and joining iconic British rock band Dire Straits on their final world tour from 1991-1992 and once again during their 2017 reunion tour. Chris Whitten is also widely recognised for composing original scores for top media companies, including BBC and Discovery Channel. Circles And Ellipses has just done a Mix for NTS Radio's Tim Noakes' 'Synth Hero Show' whose previous guests include film composer Clint Mansell, dance duo Orbital, Stranger Things composer Kyle Dixon, and Paul White from R&S Records. Noakes has described Whitten as 'cult drum God'.

The Queen's Theatre Hornchurch has today announced the cast for its revival of Alan Ayckbourn's chilling ghost story, Haunting Julia, which runs from 1 - 17 November.

A Life begins preview performances on September 29, opens on October 5, and runs through November 11 in the Ellyn Bye Studio. Associate Artistic Director Rose Riordan, who has frequently partnered with Bock, will direct. Nat DeWolf (Broadway: Take Me Out) will make his company debut as the astrology-loving and hopelessly single Nate Martin. DeWolf is joined by Cycerli Ash, also making her debut at The Armory, as well as returning artists Dana Green (Major Barbara and many others) and Gary Norman (Our Town).

Casting has been announced for Bathsheba Doran's Parents' Evening, which receives its European premiere in a new production directed by Stella Powell Jones at Jermyn Street Theatre this October. Peter Hamilton Dyer (Mrs Orwell - Proud Haddock Southwark Playhouse, Twelfth Night - Shakespeare's Globe/Broadway, Midsummer Night's Dream - RSC) and Amy Marston (Broken Glass - Offie Nominated Best Actress - Watford Palace Theatre, A Small Family Business - National Theatre, Don John - Kneehigh) join forces in this searing and highly acclaimed two- hander.

Actor Patrick Cassidy, best known for his roles in musical theatre and television, headlines Some Enchanted Evening ~ A Night of Broadway Song & Dance to benefit Inland Pacific Ballet, the professional ballet company based in the Inland Empire. This 2nd annual intimate cabaret evening features song and dance by Inland Pacific Ballet dancers and Academy students, cocktails, hor d'oeuvres, dessert, silent/live auction, and is hosted by IPB Associate Director Jonathan Sharp (The Red Shoes, Carousel, The Rocky Horror Show Live, The Dance of the Vampires, Fiddler on the Roof). In a new production commissioned by the Finborough Theatre, the rediscovery of Tony Harrison's Square Rounds in its first UK production for nearly 30 years opens at the Finborough Theatre for a four week limited season on Tuesday, 4 September 2018 (Press Nights: Thursday, 6 September and Friday, 7 September 2018 at 7.30pm).

ZHONG-JING FANG, soloist of American Ballet Theatre, PAOLA HARTLEY, former principal dancer of Ballet Arizona, KARL CONDON, former principal dancer of the Boston Ballet, and ILYA KOZADAYEV, former soloist of the Houston Ballet will be on the Shreveport Dance Academy's Summer Intensive to be held in Shreveport, Louisiana.   Zhong-Jing Fang and Paola Hartley will be on the faculty from July 23-27, 2018, and Karl Condon and  Ilya Kozadayev will be on the faculty from July 30-August 3, 2018.  

After a successful run in Central Park, playing to over 4,000 people, performances resume on Wednesday, June 27 in Rockefeller Park/Battery Park City for New York Classical Theatre's critically acclaimed production of Romeo and Juliet, directed by the company's Founding Artistic Director Stephen Burdman. The production will play this week through June 30, before continuing on to The Battery, Carl Schurz Park, and Brooklyn Bridge Park for performances through July 29. Will Geer's Theatricum Botanicum, its own history firmly rooted in the McCarthy-era Hollywood blacklist - when actor Will Geer and his wife, Herta Ware, created the theater as a haven for blacklisted actors - opens a new production of Miller's modern classic onJune 30. Theatricum artistic director Ellen Geer, Will's daughter, is at the helm, with family members Thad Geer,Willow Geer and Melora Marshall featured in the cast.

New York Classical Theatre (Stephen Burdman, Artistic Director), New York City's only all-free professional Off-Broadway theatre company, is pleased to announce a new production of William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet to celebrate its 19th Anniversary Season. The production, directed by Mr. Burdman, is the company's first staging of Shakespeare's tale of star-crossed lovers, and will be presented in five New York City parks - Central Park, Rockefeller Park/Battery Park City, The Battery, Carl Schurz Park and Brooklyn Bridge Park - with performances from June 5 through July 29 at 7:00 PM. There is no ticketing, and all performances are free and open to the public. Rubicon Theatre presents a timely and trenchant production of Shakespeare's tragedy KING LEAR as the centerpiece of the company's 20th Anniversary Season. Directed by Co-Founder James O'Neil, the production features a 20-member cast led by acclaimed actor and company memberGeorge Ball, who has starred in previous Rubicon productions of All My Sons, Man of La Mancha, and Jacques Brel… (New York, L.A., and international companies of the latter).

Shakespeare Theatre Company (STC) will host Druid, Ireland's most celebrated theatre company, and their critically acclaimed production of Waiting for Godot. Directed by Tony Award-winner Garry Hynes, Druid's production of Samuel Beckett's absurd, anarchic masterpiece will make its regional premiere at the Lansburgh Theatre (450 7th Street, NW) from April 17 through May 20, 2018 before it travels on to Chicago.

Legendary ballet costume designer HOLLY HYNES and costume and scenic designer ZACK BROWN are among the 2018 TDF/Irene Sharaff Award recipients which were just announced by TDF, the not-for-profit service organization for the performing arts. Ms. Hynes was selected to receive the 2018 TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award for costume design and Mr. Brown will receive the Robert L. B. Tobin Award for Sustained Excellence in Theatrical Design. The awards are presented through TDF's Costume Collection. The awards will be presented at a ceremony on Friday, April 20, at 6:30pm, at the Edison Ballroom (240 West 47th Street).

Richard Beecham directs Charlotte Emerson (Sylvia Gellburg), Clara Francis (Harriet), Andrew Hall (Stanton Case) Michael Higgs (Dr Harry Hyman), Rebecca Lacey (Margaret Hyman) and Michael Matus (Philip Gellburg). Broken Glass opens at Watford Palace Theatre on 6 March, with previews from 1 March and runs until 24 March.
