2014 will end with Four special events at Go Comedy! On Tuesday, December 23, the theater will host a special fundraiser event for The Detroit Creativity Project. The following weekend, for the second year in a row, the theater will host a 24-hour improv marathon for charity, followed by a roast 2014. Finally, Go Comedy! will bring the year to a close with two very special New Year's Eve performances of the Go Comedy! All Star Showdown. While musicals by millennials have received commercial productions in New York City, they've been largely unseen in Chicago. Though the area's vibrant theatre community is adventurous in producing new plays, when it comes to musicals local commercial producers and non-profit companies alike have mostly steered toward classics and shows written before the year 2000.
