Theater producer Daryl Roth, who produced last season's Tony Award-winning revival of The Normal Heart and has presented an unprecedented seven Pulitzer Prize-winning plays on the stage, will receive her second award of the month today. At its Stella by Starlight Gala tonight, May 20, the Stella Adler Studio of Acting will present Roth with The Harold Clurman Spirit Award "for courageous contribution to the culture of the city of New York and beyond." Her fellow honorees at the Stella by Starlight Gala include Harry Belafonte, James Earl Jones, Ed Schultz, and Masa Tanaka. (more...)

He will be joined by director Davis Robinson, the musicians, and the cast. This presentation is made possible by a grant from the New England Foundation for the Arts, and was originally scheduled for Friday, May 4th. The forum is free and open to the public. Recent transplant from Charlotte, NC, BareBones Theatre Group marks its Chicago debut with 'Orange Flower Water' on Saturday, May 11 at Raven Theatre, 6157 N. Clark Street. BareBones Theatre Group is presenting this as a co-production with Interrobang Theatre Project, and will merge together for the 2013-14 season.
