Producer Cedric Yau has announced that Gary Littman & Matt Lutz will step into the roles of Passepartout & Detective Fix (respectively) in Around the World in 80 Days, beginning today, September 3rd. They will replace John Gregorio & Stephen Guarino, whose last performance was Sunday, September 1st. Guy Lemonnier heads the cast as the phlegmatic Phileas Fogg, with Shirine Babb & Jimmy Ray Bennett rounding out the ensemble cast. Rachel Klein directs. (more...)

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey continues its 2013 Lend Us Your Ears play reading series with the American premiere of renowned Russian novelist Vladimir Nabokov's only full-length theatrical work, The Tragedy of Mister Morn. Never published during Nabokov's lifetime, The Tragedy of Mister Morn was translated into English by Anastasia Tolstoy (great-great-great-granddaughter of Leo Tolstoy, author of War and Peace andAnna Karenina) and British scholar Thomas Karshan. The Shakespeare Theatre's reading, featuring a prestigious cast of company members and guest artists, marks the very first time the recently translated play will be seen or heard in the United States. Megan Mullally, Patti LuPone, and Chita Rivera Play Provincetown Art House This August

Megan Mullally is a two-time Emmy-winning star of TV's Will & Grace, and recent star of Broadway's Young Frankenstein. On August 28 & 29 she returns to Provincetown by popular demand - for two shows only - after her sold-out Art House debut last summer. Patti LuPone won her second Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical, as well Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards, for her performance as Rose in the most recent Broadway production of Gypsy, and created the title role in Evita on Broadway with her now legendary performance, for which she won her first Tony and Drama Desk Awards. The Guthrie Theater today announced complete casting for its production of Anton Chekhov's Uncle Vanya. Guthrie Artistic DirectorJoe Dowling will helm Brian Friel's modern adaptation of the Chekhov classic. First produced at the Gate Theatre, Dublin, in 1998, Friel's adaptation renders the language of the play into a modern idiom and offers humor and further developed characters' roles and relationships.
