Considered by many to be one of the greatest Shakespearean actors of all time, the production is set in 1942, the final year of John Barrymore's life and takes place on the stage of a Broadway theatre, where the actor is struggling to recreate his performance in the title role of Shakespeare's Richard III. On Thursday, September 16th, Cornelia Street Cafe welcomes Po'Jazz to present Vocollaboration, featuring Kendra Shank, Alison Wedding, Kate Richards and Nik Munson. This event is hosted by Golda Solomon and consists of two sets, one at 6pm and one at 7pm. Doors open at 5:30pm for early dining and imbibing. Another group of U.S. performers has arrived in Tokyo, Japan to begin Harmony Japan's 8th annual Disney on Classic concert tour. This year's concert features seven American singers, the world-renowned Tokyo Philarmonic Orchestra, and music from Disney's animated classic Beauty and the Beast as well as selections from The Lady & the Tramp, Mulan, as well as a suite from the 2010 Disney film The Prince of Persia. The 2010 cast, led by director Tony Clements, includes Broadway's Carey Anderson, Kate Margaret McCann, Jen Zappola, Chad Coudriet, Michael Di Liberto, and Norman Moses.
