Award-winning Michael Rudman directs David Horovitch as Joe Keller and Penny Downie as Kate Keller with Alex Waldmann (Chris Keller), Grace Carter (Lydia Lubey), Edward Harrison (George Deever), William Meredith (Frank Lubey), Alison Pargeter (Sue Bayliss), David Partridge (Jim Bayliss) and Francesca Zoutewelle (Ann Deever). The stage and screen star reprised her critically-acclaimed performance in THE AUDIENCE after a West End run in 2013, and she was just one of many to 'pop across' an ocean for a stab at Broadway. Westport Country Playhouse closed its season by honoring the centennial of Pultizer prize-winning playwright Arthur Miller with his 1994 play, Broken Glass. The title partly refers to Kristallnacht, the pogrom during which the windows of Jewish-owned homes and businesses and synagogues were smashed and nearly 100 Jews murdered during those attacks and 30,000 more were arrested and sent to concentration camps. However, it really refers to the broken spirtis of a Brooklyn couple.

Westport Country Playhouse will present a community engagement initiative, 'The Individual & American Society: Celebrating Arthur Miller at One Hundred,' September 24 through October 26. The series of events, many of which are free-of-charge, will run concurrently with the Playhouse's production of Miller's 'Broken Glass,' directed by Mark Lamos. The Tony Award-nominated play takes place at the time of Kristallnacht, The Night of Broken Glass, in Nazi Germany, as a Brooklyn Jewish couple's marriage begins to shatter.

The uproarious plot features a disarming and doltish Francis Henshall who finds himself trapped by farce into working for two bosses - who are connected in wildly improbable ways. He just has to keep them from discovering each other. Inspired insanity, high-low antics, and nimble wordplay ensue - all backed by live musicians paying homage to rockabilly and a certain Fab Four. Directed by David Ivers - artistic director of the Utah Shakespeare Festival - and with songs by Grant Olding, One Man, Two Guvnors is a riotous blast complete with a colorful cast of characters in a topsy-turvy world of love triangles and mistaken identities. New Repertory Theatre announces its 2015-2016 SEASON: IDENTITY. Featuring eight productions in three theatre spaces, next season includes five plays in the Charles Mosesian Theater, beginning with Broken Glass, presented in celebration of the centennial of the birth of playwright Arthur Miller; A Number, Caryl Churchill's stark and startling drama; The Snow Queen, a new musical co-written and directed by former New Rep Artistic Director Rick Lombardo; Blackberry Winter, a National New Play Network Rolling World Premiere; and Freud's Last Session, a razor-sharp, witty, and much anticipated Boston Area Premiere. Our third annual Next Rep Black Box Festival will include two companion pieces whose setting is shared, but whose time is separated by 2000 years: Via Dolorosa by David Hare and The Testament of Mary by Colm To?ibi?n. The Festival will also include the Next Rep World Premiere of Baltimore by Kirsten Greenidge, co-presented with Boston Center for American Performance (BCAP).

Beecham directs Kate Adams (Helene), Noa Bodner (Esther), Pascale Burgess (Elzvieta), Imogen Daines (Etalina),Emma Darlow (Liesl), Holly De Jong (Schmidt), James Duke (Mengele / Kapo / Cellist / Paul), Amanda Hadingue (Alma Rose), Melanie Heslop(Marianne), Rebecca Jenkins (Varya), Kate Lynn-Evans (Mandel), Maeve O'Sullivan (Greta / Olga), Sian Phillips (Fania), Danny Scheinmann (Schmuel / Captain Heinz / Second Chess Player / First Trooper), Augustina Seymour (Paulette/ Music Captain), Christopher Staines (Commandant Kramer / 1st Chess Player / SS Guard / Kapo / Pianist) and Alexia Traverse-Healy (Mala / Tchaikowska). Completing the cast are 17 members of Sheffield People's Theatre - the theatre's intergenerational acting company from across the region.
