Beloved Broadway production supervisor Arthur P. Siccardi has passed away at 89. Arthur P., II was one of the best-loved figures in the American theater, with a distinguished career as a production supervisor that spanned five decades working with the biggest stars, directors and producers on some of the best-known shows in Broadway history.

NJPAC presents virtual viewing of the 1981 Sam Raimi classic, Evil Dead on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 9:00 p.m. There will be live commentary throughout by Bruce Campbell himself.  Watch the film with Campbell as he shares memories, stories, and anecdotes from the film, and for a few lucky viewers, Bruce will even answer questions from the chat.

My fall quarter at SCAD just ended last week and now I'm off until the beginning of January for my winter break. One of the classes I took as a dramatic writing major was playwriting and I got to thinking about some of my favorite plays that I would love to share with people and hopefully they can experience for themselves one day. The phrase 'toxic masculinity' wasn't exactly in the vernacular in 1987, when Circle Rep's buzz-producing run of Lanford Wilson's Burn This moved uptown to Broadway. So perhaps coked-up, homophobic, violently aggressive, possessive bullies were considered sexier than they are now.

The nonprofit Sundance Institute announced today the showcase of new independent feature films selected across all categories for the 2019 Sundance Film Festival. The Festival hosts screenings in Park City, Salt Lake City and at Sundance Mountain Resort, from January 24 - February 3, 2019.

This career spanning retrospective box marks the first time that all five of the band's albums for Geffen/Mute have been collected in one complete box set. The box set features expanded double black vinyl of each album (10 vinyl LPs in all), with several bonus tracks and hard to find 12' mixes - all carefully curated and remastered by Pylon Records. The original artwork has also been expanded into gatefold sleeves, with embossing and spot UV finish. It also contains a large size booklet with liner notes by the band's co-founders Douglas McCarthy and Bon Harris, along with unseen photos, flyers and artwork, detailing their entire career in chronological order from Essex to Los Angeles. These albums have been out-of-print since the early '90s and have never been reissued prior to this.

BURN THIS is a riveting play about the bloom of love rooted in tragedy. We find ourselves exploring an insular group of friends, mourning the loss of one of their own. The weaving tale between Anna, Burton, and Larry only gets more skewed throughout the play when Robbie's brother shows up at their doorstep. Will love and friendship prevail over loss. Or will sadness, bitterness and anger overwhelm them all?
