It's undoubtedly the most appealing Iowa a?oecorna?? ever served a?" fresh, warm and wrapped in the sweet nostalgia of small-town America. Chanhassen Dinner Theatres (CDT) brings its audiences Meredith Willson's THE MUSIC MAN. a colorful, musical comedy that's all-American as apple pie and a beloved classic for every generation. THE MUSIC MAN opens to a week of previews on February 28 and celebrates its official opening on Friday, March 6, 2020.

Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater announces the full company for Ruth and Augustus Goetz's melodrama, The Heiress, suggested by the Henry James novel, Washington Square. After growing up subjected to her father's disinterest and strong resentment, a young woman in the 1850s discovers what love is in her journey towards independence, growth and strength, without an impactful female role model in her life. Directed by Deputy Artistic Director Seema Sueko, The Heiress runs February 8 - March 10, 2019 in the Fichandler Stage.

In anticipation of the biennial Ryder Cup next week outside of Paris, Golf Channel will showcase its latest Golf Filmsproject, Famous 5, outlining how five European golfers – born within 11 months of one another – collectively helped revitalize the international competition and redefine the professional golf landscape. The film will premiere on Monday, Sept. 24 at 9 p.m. ET to kick off NBC Sports Group's Ryder Cup week programming.

The Gallery at The Sheen Center (18 Bleecker Street, NYC) presents 'LR9: 1957,' a multimedia group exhibition inspired by the Little Rock Nine. Curated by Ajamu Kojo, the exhibition includes oil painting, collage, sculture, found-object art and projected film works by artists including Patrick Earl Barnes, Kimberly Becoat, Paul Deo, Aimee Everett, Chet Gold, Aaqil Ka, Ajamu Kojo, Roni Nicoleand Valincy-Jean Patelli. The exhibition is open to the public through August 3. The Gallery is open daily from 9AM to 11PM. All works on exhibition are available for purchase.

In continuing its program of recognizing outstanding actors, the Ojai Film Festival presents An Evening with Sally Kellerman on June 3 from 4 to 8 pm at the Ojai Art Center. The event will include a screening of her iconic film "MASH," followed by a question and answer discussion with Ms. Kellerman. Afterwards, a reception and special birthday cake for Ms. Kellerman, whose birthday is June 2, will be celebrated by all.

From 1948 to 1971, TV's longest-running prime time variety program, CBS' 'The Ed Sullivan Show,' beamed the world's biggest stars into the homes of nearly every American household live every Sunday evening. For musicians of all stripes, performing on the show was the pinnacle of television opportunities, with singular star-making potential. Among the artists vaulted to new heights of stardom via history-making appearances were The Beatles, Elvis Presley, The Temptations, and The Supremes, all of whom returned to 'The Ed Sullivan Show' several times after electrifying debut performances on the program.

Motown the Musical is a musical unlike any other. The history of Motown Records takes place between 1957 and 1983. Audience members will recognize the music whether they were a part of this time period or not. I was born in 1996 and went into the production not knowing the history of Motown Records, but I could name a number of the songs included. On the other hand, there were audience members who were singing along to the entire musical and remembered moments from it. As an audience member who did not know the history of Motown, the production opened my eyes to the impact the music has had. A musical that brings generations together through music, history, and unity of humankind.

The 5th Avenue Theatre has announced an incredible six-show lineup for its 2018/19 season, which includes launching the national tour of the acclaimed sensation Come From Away, the timeless beloved musical Annie, rock 'n' roll hit parade Rock of Ages, the sumptuous West Coast premiere of Little Dancer, a lavish and loving staging of the iconic West Side Story and an exciting new collaboration with ACT - A Contemporary Theatre-Urinetown. Additionally, The 5th will host a one week run of the national tour of The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical.

Frank Sabatte, The Gallery at the Sheen Center has some fantastic exhibits coming up,' says William Spencer Reilly, Executive Director of The Sheen Center.

Today the New York premiere of Little Rock was announced, written and directed by Rajendra Ramoon Maharaj. Performances are set to begin Wednesday, May 30, 2018 for a limited run through September 8, 2018 at The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture (18 Bleecker Street). Opening Night is set for Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 7:00PM. Cast and creative team will be announced shortly.

French dramatist and playwright Jean Anouilh opens the IRC's 12th season in Philadelphia, presenting and celebrating seldom-produced works of absurdist authors and their forebears.

Next up at Kansas City Repertory Theatre is a new production of August Wilson's Pulitzer Prize winning 1983 play 'Fences' at the KC Rep Copaken Theatre in downtown Kansas City with an exceptional cast. Directing 'Fences' is Ron OJ Parson Director/Resident Artist at Court Theatre of Chicago. AC Smith plays Troy Maxxson supported by Alfred Wilson as Troy's best friend and co-worker, Jim Bono.

The last time Jane Kaczmarek acted on the Los Angeles stage, she transformed into the morphine-addicted Mary Tyrone in Eugene O'Neill's LONG DAY'S JOURNEY INTO NIGHT at the Geffen Playhouse. Jane returns to the L.A. boards, this time in the traditionally-male role of Stage Manager in Thornton Wilder's OUR TOWN, just opened at The Pasadena Playhouse, in a co-production with Deaf West Theatre.
