Registration starts at 9:45 a.m. These auditions are for Actors' Equity and non-Equity actors. Actors' Equity actors will be seen first. Call backs will take place later in the afternoon. Es präsentieren sich die zwei Ensemblemitglieder Anita Hartig (Sopran) und Stephanie Houtzeel (Mezzosopran), die für den erkrankten Benjamin Bruns einspringt, mit einem persönlichen Programm an Arien, Duetten und Liedern von Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Maurice Ravel, Jean-Philippe Rameau, Léo Delibes, Charles Gounod, Giacomo Puccini und Jacques Offenbach. The Stage is reporting that Les Miserables and Miss Saigon team, Claude-Michel Schonberg and Alain Boublil's Martin Guerre is being prepared for a Summer 2011 revival on the West End with actor/musicians, based on a successful 2007 Watermill Theatre production of the show. The team are also reworking Marguerite, with Boublil noting that 'I am completely rewriting it at this moment because I never thought it was finished. I think we took it to the stage too early.' American Ballet Theatre's 2011 Spring Season at the Metropolitan Opera House, May 16-July 9, was announced today by Artistic Director Kevin McKenzie. Highlights of the season include World Premieres by Alexei Ratmansky and Christopher Wheeldon, the New York Company Premiere of Alexei Ratmansky's The Bright Stream and the U.S. Premiere of a new work by Benjamin Millepied. Principal Dancers for the 2011 Metropolitan Opera Season include Maxim Beloserkovsky, Roberto Bolle, Jose Manuel Carreño, Angel Corella, Herman Cornejo, Irina Dvorovenko, Marcelo Gomes, David Hallberg, Paloma Herrera, Julie Kent, Gillian Murphy, Veronika Part, Xiomara Reyes, Ethan Stiefel, Diana Vishneva and Michele Wiles. Natalia Osipova, a principal dancer with the Bolshoi Ballet, and Alina Cojocaru, a principal dancer with The Royal Ballet, will return for the Spring season as guest artists. (more...)
