Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director) has just announced that Jason Robert Brown's musical THE LAST FIVE YEARS has been added to the company's upcoming 2012-2013 season. The musical, which has not been seen in New York City since its brief off-Broadway run over ten years ago, will be directed by Mr. Brown.
Timing just seems right for the four men who make up Under the Streetlamp-the quartet that's taking American stages by storm this summer-to share their mantra that "retro never sounded so now!" with the legions of fans of "The American Radio Songbook of the '50's, '60's and '70's" while bringing a whole new audience over to their side of the musical dial. The four-Christopher Kale Jones, Shonn Wiley and the two Michaels: Cunio and Ingersoll-will be singing to the faithful when their first national tour brings them to Nashville's Tennessee Performing Arts Center for a June 14 performance (curtain's at 7:30 p.m.) at the James K. Polk Theatre.

Nigel Redden, Director of Lincoln Center Festival, today announced the Festival's line-up, which runs from July 5 through August 5, 2012. Single tickets go on sale on April 2. Matthew Bourne and New Adventures are delighted to announce a year long celebration of work and special events to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the company's first performance in 1987. New Adventures (formerly Adventures in Motion Pictures) gave it's first performances in the late eighties under the direction of Bourne, Emma Gladstone and David Massingham. In 1991 Bourne became the sole Artistic Director and guided the company from a small scale touring troupe to a worldwide dance phenomenon, making Bourne himself a star choreographer with an international reputation. The name change to New Adventures in 2002 brought further success, guided by co-director, Robert Noble, and a new repertoire of popular premieres, major revivals and extraordinary audience development.
