A combination of professional actors - including a local steelworker - and a community cast from Port Talbot will be performing in National Theatre Wales & Common Wealth's We're Still Here. This new production tackles one of the biggest symbols of Wales' industrial past and present; the Port Talbot steelworks.

Actor, novelist and playwright Jim Shankman, the recipient of the Best Playwriting Award at 2015 FringeNYC for his play The Screenwriter Dies of His Own Free Will, will debut his latest work, Heartless Bastard, at HERE Arts Center (145 Sixth Avenue).

The Mynabirds have announced their new album BE HERE NOW which will be released over the course of the summer on three EPs each featuring three songs, and out in full on August 25 via Saddle Creek. To celebrate, Billboard has premiered the first track “Cocoon,” which appears on the first EP release out June 30.

'We're here because we're here', the modern memorial to mark the centenary of the Battle of the Somme, created by Turner Prize-winning artist Jeremy Deller in collaboration with Rufus Norris, Artistic Director of the National Theatre, has been nominated for a prestigious National Lottery Award.

HERE presents Dark Circus, by renowned French company STEREOPTIK, a presentation from HERE's Dream Music Puppetry Program. This innovative puppet theater work, for all ages, plays six performances May 30 - June 4 at HERE (145 Sixth Avenue, just below Spring Street).
