Interact Art Museum of Atlanta Launches New Pop Up Exhibition of Interact-Art with Built-in Photo OpportunityInteract Art Museum of Atlanta Launches New Pop Up Exhibition of Interact-Art with Built-in Photo Opportunity
by BWW News Desk - Oct 23, 2014

Locally owned Interact Art Museum (IAM) - Atlanta announced today that it will be holding its first ever pop-up exhibit titled 'Beyond the Obvious' on October 25th - November 2nd at 482 Edgewood Ave. Halloween-themed art that lends itself to human interaction will allow visitors to craft unforgettable and unique photo images and to wow their friends and social networks with creativity, imagination, and humor. In addition to a selfie, a new democratic art genre defined by availability of smart phones and cameras, Interact-art is a genre of visual art with a built-in photo opportunity. Come to the IAM-ATL exhibition with a date or with friends because one needs to have more than one person to take photos and experience Interact-art! Not only is the stage set to interact with art but also to interact with friends also. Unlike a backdrop or a theater decoration these fun art paintings lend themselves for the interpretation. Make face, take poses, touch, pretend, laugh or frown. One can discover an inner actor, artist, director or a model; one may discover them in friends. Here folks can look at each other without appearing intrusive; one can laugh without being rude; one can observe others with plenty of light while you are acting. Enjoy each other's company in reality (opposite to on the phone or online), have a good time and post your newly discovered talent to the social media! AM welcomes young adults and young at heart of all ages to visit its new and exciting entertainment venue and to bring their best 'Beyond the Obvious' ideas with them! About Interact-Art Interact-Art is a new movement within the contemporary artistic landscape that got inspired by modern social self-photography (selfie), classic backdrops, and democratic et pro populo approach of the street art. In the words of IAM founder Vas Paris: 'Think of it as Visual Jazz - the artist is a composer, the canvas is his music, and the audience are the musicians, free to interpret and create their own masterpieces. About Interact Art Museum (IAM) - Atlanta, LLC. Formed in spring of 2014 as a cooperation between Maestro of Art Vas Paris, Maestro of Interaction Juan Camilo, and Maestro of Museum Michael Martynov, Interact Art Museum (IAM) -Atlanta is dedicated to creation, promotion, and exhibition of interactive artworks with focus on urban, street, and contemporary movements within the art community. BWW Commentary: The Mistreatment of Women on BOARDWALKBWW Commentary: The Mistreatment of Women on BOARDWALK
by Jessica Naftaly - Oct 23, 2014

BOARDWALK EMPIRE writes some of the best female characters around, many can agree, but the treatment of said characters on the show reflects quite the opposite insinuation about the writers. While the show has tackled many feminist issues such as women's health, the right to vote, the temperance movement, and the misogynistic mindset of the men at the time, it's also reduced so many of it's female characters to forgo pointless deaths in order to further characterize and develop their male counterparts, or how I like to put it, allow for the men to feel some “man pain” to make us connect further with them emotionally. SageGlass Adds New Design and Performance Option to Its Portfolio of Award Winning Dynamic GlassSageGlass Adds New Design and Performance Option to Its Portfolio of Award Winning Dynamic Glass
by BWW News Desk - Oct 22, 2014

A bus bar – found on standard SageGlass – is a thin electrical conduit through the middle of the pane that helps the glass achieve the industry's fastest tint switching speeds. SageGlass has traditionally employed a center bus bar for glass sizes greater than four feet to provide superior switching speed and tinting uniformity in all conditions. The new option with “no center bus bar” provides architects and building owners with yet another design alternative. The bus bar is not required, even for large glass sizes of 5 x 10 feet. While the use of a center bus bar will provide faster and more uniform tinting performance, the new, bus-less option adds another dimension of design flexibility to SageGlass' industry leading portfolio of dynamic glass options. Furthermore, a large glass unit with no center bus bar may also be equipped with SageGlass LightZone, just like a standard unit. This option enables one large pane of glass to be configured into two or three sub-zones for maximum control and daylighting. (more...)

While reviewing What Makes a Man (WMAM), now playing at the Berkley Street Theatre, it's tempting to comment on what's not there, what could and should be there, rather than what is there. What is on display is a marvelous musical stage portrait of Charles Aznavour, the world renowned French singer/songwriter, actor and political activist/diplomat. A man of the world, he is capable of singing in five languages. One of the last surviving 'showmen,' he still is capable of filling the world's most prestigious concert halls. For example, a year ago he performed for the first time in 25 years at London's Royal Albert Hall. Demand was so great, a second concert was booked there for this past June. (more...)
