Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) and Education at Roundabout (Jennifer DiBella, Director of Education) are pleased to announce that the Youth Performing Arts School in Louisville, KY will present the regional premiere of PROSPECT HIGH: BROOKLYN. Written by Daniel Robert Sullivan and a team of New York City teenagers, Prospect High: Brooklyn was developed in partnership with Education at Roundabout and the Fox Foundation Resident Actor Fellowships. The play will have its world premiere in 23 high school productions across the country, September 2015 - May 2016. Youth Performing Arts School will present the play on January 28th and 29th at 7:30 PM in their theatre at duPont Manual High School, 1517 South Second St., Louisville, KY 40208. Having won critical praise for his previous Cafe Carlyle residencies, Tony Award-winner John Lloyd Young returns with an all-new show titled Yours Truly, February 9-20. After seeing his first appearance at the storied venue, where he performed selections from his debut album My Turn, Stephen Holden of The New York Times said Young 'has a disciplined one-in-a-million high tenor shading into falsetto that he can direct through the stratosphere.' Upon his second residency, Mr. Holden praised Young for '[tapping] into the raw feelings and intensity of a teenage romantic dreaming out loud.' Yours Truly, his first engagement back in NYC since starring in Clint Eastwood's Jersey Boys film, will feature a fresh set of lushly romantic '60s-era R&B ballads and a few brand new songwriting collaborations.
