Blue Eyes Brown Eyes presents The Adventures of Rocketman and Beano.

Holy comic books, Beano! The Adventures of Rocketman and Beano brings you the original-original superhero story: an epic tale of epic deeds and epic villains, presented by a pair of epic idiots. Watch as Maggie Eloise Beery theatrically adapts her beloved grandmother's artistic masterpiece with the help of her assistant, classical actor extraordinaire, Stuart. Think Lucy and Desi doing Batman and Robin, with a special dash of Shakespeare. Cheer on and laugh at these super-fools in their quest to avenge injustice!

At its core, The Adventures of Rocketman and Beano is about relationship. This collaborative debut uses song, dance, and impeccable comedic timing to tell the tale of two broken superheroes who ultimately discover themselves by way of their partnership. The clown characters Maggie and Stuart exaggerate the bond between deviser-performers Tom Spangenberg and Christine Longé. He's 6 feet tall, she's 5'½"; she's type A, he's type Z; he studied engineering, she studied theatre. Despite all the differences within this odd couple, the laughter is the best they've ever had. In all seriousness, these two opposing magnets can't stop loving each other. You could fill a bingo card with the myriad real-life moments that now appear in the show.

The generation of The Adventures of Rocketman and Beano began under the loving eye of SpyMonkey's Aitor Basauri. The show features original music composed by John T. Knight (The Mondegreens, Stardate Records), lighting design by local wizard John Small, and the detail-oriented direction of Sarah Liane Foster (Dell'Arte alum, former Helikos faculty,Gravity: Is It True?).

Can you decipher which jokes were imagined and which were based on true events?
