Seattle Center Winterfest Announces Comedy, Choruses, Dancers, Percussion and More For 12/4

Seattle Center Winterfest 2009-This second weekend of Seattle Center Winterfest offers a highly entertaining mix of music, dance and comedy. Seattle Girls' Choir and Northwest Boychoir sing on Saturday afternoon, while musical and improv comedy are featured Friday and Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon.

All performances are free and open to the public.

Winterfest also offers Saturday afternoon ice sculpting and bonfire sing-alongs. The Winter Train and Village return this year, along with the Ice Rink and Classic Carousel.

Mark Siano and the Freedom Dancers: "Soft Rock," Comedy, and Dance
Friday, Dec. 4, 8 p.m.
Center House
Direct from his sell-out performances at The Triple Door, Seattle-based performer and producer Mark Siano teams with The Freedom Dancers to bring their unique version of "soft rock" music to life. With an exciting blend of high energy dance, seductive style, and vicious comic timing, this hilarious tribute to the 80's will have you toe tapping and belly laughing.

Ice Sculpting
Saturday, Dec. 5, 2 noon - 2 p.m.
Outside Fisher Pavilion
Artistry and ice unite in a glorious and temporal expression of the season as internationally acclaimed, award-winning artists create seasonal sculptures. Watch while they work or stop by later to see the glistening result. Each Saturday an ice master will carve a different design.

Seattle Girls' Choir

Seattle Girls' Choir, who have performed nationally and aborad, will grace the Center House Stage with their youthful talents, sweet, soaring voices, and amazing musical maturity.

Northwest Boychoir

With more than 150 members ages 6 to 13, Northwest Boychoir is regarded as among the absolute best nationwide. The Choir has performed around the world - on movie soundtracks, in video games, with the Seattle Symphony, and now at Winterfest.

Fireside Singing
Saturday, Dec. 5, 5 p.m. - 7 p.m.
Outside Fisher Pavilion
Take a mid-weekend break from the frenzy of the season and share in warmth and music around the crackling flames of a bonfire. Folksinger Bruce Bake will lead passers-by in a mix of original, traditional and contemporary folk holiday songs as embers illuminate the night.

Comedy of Dave Crowe and Unexpected Productions
Saturday, Dec. 5, 7 p.m.

This night of comedy will warm your heart and clapping hands. Laugh with two of the region's funniest entertainers, comedian David Crowe and comedy improvisation troupe Unexpected Productions.

Seattle World Percussion Society
Sunday, Dec. 6, 12 p.m.
Center House
Experience the infectious rhythms of Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, Asia, and Native America with a live performance of world music, drumming, and dance.

Comedy Saturday! David Crowe and Unexpected Productions Comedy Improv
Sunday, Dec. 6, 2 p.m.
Center House
Direct from the Market Theatre at Pike Place Market, this troop has been offering its unique brand of comedy since 1983, making it the longest running improv show in Seattle. A team of 5 performers guarantee laughter and creativity with their original sketch comedy, based on audience input.
