Seattle Center Announces Free Ice Skate At KeyArena 6/4

Seattle Center invites the public to a Free Ice Skate at KeyArena, Friday, June 4, 12 noon - 8 p.m. Free admission, free skate use and 17,000 square feet of ice offer a cool way for families and friends to slide into the weekend.

No tickets are required for the Free Ice Skate. Doors open at 11:30 a.m.  Enter at the east KeyArena doors. Skating sessions begin at the top of each hour and last for 40 minutes.Ice walkers will be available for those who need extra support. Some food and drink concessions will be available, and skaters may bring in outside food and drink (non-alcoholic) as well.

The Free Ice Skate at KeyArena is part of ongoing efforts by Seattle Center Productions, the public programming arm of Seattle Center, to open campus venues for free public activities. The ice is in place on the KeyArena floor for Smucker's® Stars on Ice®, May 29, featuring Winter Olympic ice skating champions.

Seattle Center Productions presents nearly 500 free and affordable events and activities throughout the year. Summer offerings include:
·         Summer Fitness - Tai Chi with the Wallingford School of Oom Yung Doe, June 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., North International Fountain Lawn
·         KEXP & Seattle Center Present Concerts at the Mural, Aug. 6, 13, 20 and 27, 6 p.m., Mural Amphitheatre
·         Seattle Center Movies at the Mural, Aug. 7, 21, 22, 28, 9 p.m., Mural Amphitheatre
·         Summertime cultural celebrations of Seattle Center Festál, including Pagdiriwang Philippine Festival, June 5 - 6, Festival Sundiata, June 12 - 13, Iranian Festival, June 19, Bastille Day, A French Celebration, July 10 - 11; BrasilFest, Aug. 15; and Tibet Fest, Aug. 28 - 29

The Free Ice Skate at KeyArena is ideal for afternoon excursions from school and daycare, TGIF outings, early evening dates and free family entertainment.
