STAGEright Theatre has announced its upcoming production of The Elephant Man, March 7th through March 22nd. Written by Bernard Pomerance and directed by Robert Bogue.

The Elephant Man is the story of a man whose physical form is so hideous, that he is looked upon as a freak and outcast, yet his spirit and faith in God causes most who know him to evaluate their own beliefs in society of the time. While John follows the rules and kindness that he finds in his faith and belief structure, his peers do not. This pushes the narrative to a beautifully melancholy and poignant conclusion.

The Elephant Man poses the question what the true definition of "beauty", and forces us to examine ourselves through the experiences of someone trying to live a civilized existence as defined by members of an often uncivilized society.

All performances will take place at the LAB@INscape at 7:30pm. Tickets are $15 online and $20 at the door, seating is limited. For more information visit us at www.seattlestageright.org.
