In March 2013, newly-formed collective New Constellations Theatre Group will present its inaugural production of The Flu Season by Will Eno. Founding member Stephanie Haire will direct and produce this challenging exploration of the intricacies of human relationships. The production runs from March 13-21 at the LAB @ INScape.

New Constellations Theatre Group's The Flu Season will be presented at The LAB @ INScape Arts on March 13, 14, 15, 19, 20 and 21. All performances at 7:30pm except the 15th, which will be at 6:30pm.

Love is in the air at a cozy New England psychiatric hospital. Things are looking hopeful as a man, a woman, and their doctor and nurse struggle to connect with one another despite and sometimes through their many idiosyncrasies. Meanwhile, another man, somewhere else, struggles to write a play about life, love, nostalgia, and time. In this painful comedy, Will Eno asks us, what is the power of fiction? And what are the consequences when we can no longer believe in it? With grim humor, evocative language, and reluctant romance, The Flu Season is a study in human connections and the barriers that impede them.

New Constellations Theatre Group is a new collective of theatre artists looking to produce high-quality work by making artists the top priority. The Flu Season, an earlier work from noted contemporary playwright Will Eno (Thom Pain, Doubt) and winner of the 2004 Oppenheimer Award for best New York debut by an American playwright, was selected as the inaugural production. This stripped-down production will be presented in an intimate, immersive staging at The LAB @ INScape, with a cast of both veteran and early-career Seattle performers.

The cast includes Leah Russell, Michael Ryan Blackwood, John Leith, Carrie Schonwald, Michael Edward McClain, Rachel Godbe. Lighting designer Evan Anderson, costume designer Desiree Jones, and sound designer Edward Wolcher comprise the creative team.

Tickets are $8-$15 and can be purchased at www.thefluseason.brownpapertickets.com.
