On Saturday, September 17, Emmy-winning comedy star Judy Gold brings her edgy wit and sharp observational commentary to the greater Seattle region for an exclusive, one-night-only stand-up appearance at the Stroum Jewish Community Center on Mercer Island.

?A longtime writer and producer for The Rosie O'Donnell Show and frequent host on The View, the self-proclaimed "big mouth" Gold has guest-starred on Louie, Broad City, The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, The Jim Gaffigan Show, Inside Amy Schumer, Difficult People, 30 Rock, 2 Broke Girls, Melissa & Joey, and The Big C. Gold appears regularly on The StEve Harvey Show and can be seen doing stand-up at NYC's top Comedy Clubs including The Comedy Cellar, Carolines on Broadway, and Eastville Comedy Clubs, and Feinstein's 54 Below.

She is twice nominated for The American Comedy Award for Funniest Female Comedian. Her one-woman off-Broadway show 25 Questions for a Jewish Mother earned critical accolades across the board, won the GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding NY Theater, and was called by New York Times "fiercely funny, honest and moving." Standing 6'3" tall and an out lesbian parent, she mines her own life for comic "gold" - probing the absurdity of Jewish mother stereotypes and current hot-button issues.

Gold brings her no-holds-barred "her"-larity to the SJCC's 358-seat Cultural Arts stage on Mercer Island, which re-opened in 2014 with a beautiful theater, luxurious seating, and Dolby Digital sound following an extensive renovation. Doors open at 7:00 PM with an optional no-host happy hour, with show at 8:00 PM, a full set of the two-time Emmy winner's irreverent riffs. Tickets are $35, or $30 for seniors, students, youth, and SJCC members. Tickets and information are at http://sjcc.org/cultural-arts/comedy/.

Judy Gold's appearance is part of the Stroum Jewish Community Center's 2016/17 Cultural Arts season, featuring comedy, film, global music, spoken word, theater, and culinary arts/chefs. Gold kicks off SJCC's "Jest Fest" Jewish comedy series. Later this year, Last Comic Standing alumnus and frequent CONAN guest Gary Gulman will bring the laughs for a one-night-only engagement on Thursday, December 1; and veteran Mark Schiff, who often tours with Jerry Seinfeld, takes the mic on February 19, 2017. Don't miss it! Tickets and information are athttp://sjcc.org/cultural-arts/comedy/.
