Join your friends and family at BPA for an evening of laughs on January 7, and inaugurate the New Year with The EDGE Improv. The troupe will deliver an ingeniously improvised evening of on-the-spot comedy, all from audience suggestions. For more than two decades, the troupe's riotous antics have inspired rave reviews from people from all walks of life.

The troupe performs at BPA on the first Saturday of each month, and their capers have earned a devoted community of followers. The EDGE credits Bainbridge audiences for being smarter than their average hecklers. "It's Tolstoy vs. American Idol," said troupe member John Ellis.

Performers include Ken Ballenger, Frank Buxton, John Ellis, Cynthia Lair, Susan MacPherson, Bhama Roget, Andrew Shields, Chris Soldevilla, and Matty Whitman. Visit www.theedgeimprov.com for video clips from past shows and visit The EDGE at www.bainbridgeperformingarts.org for tickets, bios, upcoming performances and more.

The EDGE Improv appears at BPA Saturday, January 7 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets, $16 for adults, and $12 for seniors, students, youth, military, and teachers, may be purchased online at www.bainbridgeperformingarts.org, by phone at 206.842.8569 or in person at BPA, 200 Madison Avenue North, Bainbridge Island. BPA Box Office hours are 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, and one hour prior to each performance.

BPA is supported, in part, by Bainbridge Community Foundation and One Call for All. Bainbridge Performing Arts is pleased to offer an "Open Doors" program. Free and reduced-cost tickets to most events are available to community members in need through our partner Helpline House thanks to grants from BCF, the Mabee Family Foundation, and the Alder Fund at the Bainbridge Community Foundation.
