Stone Soup Theatre has announced its 2013-2014 Season. Details below!

Two Short Plays by Noel Coward:
Hands Across the Sea & Still Life
November 8 - November 30
Witness the comedy and disharmony that overflows when natural behavior clashes with societal norms, in two short plays, written by the man known as "the personification of wit and sophistication":
Hands across the Sea- A domestic comedy: meet the Piggie Gilpin: she is so busy with social duties and gossip that she has no time for coherent thinking. The Mayfair train delivers a host of colorful guests, and the hilarity builds when identities are mistaken: guests overhear intimate phone conversations, are stumbled over, spilled upon, and completely ignored before Piggie finally gets it straight.

Still Life - Set against the bustle and bumble of "Milford Junction" railway station, sweet Dr. Harvey removes a cinder from Laura's eye and they fall in love. The lovers wrestle with emotions and propriety as fate determines their future. This poignant, moving story is often considered to be one of Coward's all-time best!

A Child's Christmas in Wales adapted from the poem by Dylan Thomas &
The Long Christmas Dinner by Thornton Wilder
December 5 - December 24

Celebrate the joy of magic, family, and memories with two short plays for the Christmas holidays:

A Child's Christmas in Wales - Adapted from the poem by Dylan Thomas. Back again for the 2013 Holiday season! Celebrate the magic of Dylan Thomas' childhood Christmas. Featuring youth and adult performers.

The Long Christmas Dinner - This human, tender play journeys the lives of several generations of the Bayard family, and some of their Christmas dinners. It is a serious play lightened with humor of character, containing a moving quality that is both appealing and forceful.

Doubt by John Patrick Shanley
February 14 - March 8

Set in the Bronx in 1964, Doubt is a clash of wills and generational viewpoints between Sister Aloysius and Father Flynn. This blunt story is filled with empathy for all sides, and is less about scandal than about fascinatingly nuanced questions of moral certainty. Winner of the 2005 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and Tony Award for Best Play!
