ArtsWest Launches Search for New Artistic Director

ArtsWest Playhouse and Gallery has launched a search for a permanent Artistic Director to solidify the leadership team by the fall of 2014.

Interim Artistic Director Annie Lareau, was hired in October of 2013 with a time-specific mandate to select ArtsWest's 2014-2015 Season, as well as to provide support to the production staff through to August 31, 2014. Annie has provided the theatre with an outstanding season lineup that was chosen to increase diversity and fulfill the mission of producing thought-provoking work. As the defined interim phase is nearing completion, ArtsWest is now moving to the hiring phase of a permanent Artistic Director.

The successful candidate will be a collaborative, energetic theatre professional who demonstrates a passion for theatre and the arts by engaging and inspiring artists, audiences, and community, while fulfilling ArtsWest's mission.

Position competencies include a clear creative vision with an eye to continued organizational growth, practical operational leadership, and relevant experience in the field of theatre education, as well as patron and donor development.

An ability to work in a dynamic team setting is essential for success.
