    Seattle Musical Theatre to Present LITTLE WOMEN

    Seattle Musical Theatre, Seattle's longest-running musical theatre company, has begun production for the third show of its 39th season, Little Women: The Musical. The show runs from February 17th through March 12th; Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm, Sundays at 2pm, and a special Thursday performance on March 9th at 7:30pm.

    On a rainy January 19, at 5:30 p.m. on the steps in front of Actors Theatre of Louisville, members of the Louisville theatre community took part in launching a nation-wide initiative entitled The Ghost Light Project. Besides Actors Theatre, there were representatives from other local companies such as Kentucky Shakespeare, Looking for Lilith, The Liminal Playhouse, Theatre [502], the University of Louisville's African American Theatre Program, among others.

The season includes Cupid's Revenge, a rarely performed play by John Fletcher and Francis Beaumont, the earliest printed version of Shakespeare's early comedy Love's Labour's Lost, and Anna Karenina Lives! A new musical play by Germaine Shames.

    As the 2017 inauguration arrived, leaving many in the Washington, D.C.-area fleeing the city to avoid crowds, NextStop Theatre opened their first two performances of 2017 to packed houses of Shakespeare's "Much Ado About Nothing", now appearing through February 12, 2017. Inside a 114-seat black box theatre, just 20 miles west of the nation's capital, in Herndon, Virginia, "the original romantic comedy", whisks audiences off to the sun-drenched sandy beaches of Messina, Italy.

Talk of this performance has been heated ever since the invitation was accepted only a few days after Christmas. The majority of the Rockettes expressed heady disinterest and intention to boycott.
