No '1984' After 2004: Broadway Production Announces Age Restriction

Producers Sonia Friedman and Scott Rudin announced today that the Broadway Premiere of the new stage adaptation of George Orwell's dystopian novel, 1984, will implement, effective immediately, an Age Restriction Policy: No theatergoers born after 2004 will be admitted to 1984.  Audience members must be age 13 years or older in order to enter the Hudson Theatre.  For tickets and info, visithttp://www.revisedtruth.com/.

Olivier Award-winning director Robert Icke's (Mary Stuart, The Red Barn, Uncle Vanya, Oresteia, Mr Burns and 1984) ground-breaking and electrifying production of William Shakespeare's Hamlet, starring BAFTA award-winner Andrew Scott (Moriarty in BBC's Sherlock, Denial, Spectre, Design For Living and Cock) in the title role, transfers to the Harold Pinter Theatre, following a critically acclaimed and sell out run at The Almeida Theatre. 1984 Announces Broadway Lottery

Mobile ticketing app TodayTix announced today that it will offer a digital lottery for the highly-anticipated Broadway Premiere of George Orwell's 1984 starring Tony® Award nominee Tom Sturridge, Olivia Wilde in her Broadway debut, and Tony® Award winner Reed Birney.  The entire front row of seats will be available via lottery for $19.84 each.  The entry period will begin each day at midnight, and continue until winners are notified via email and push notification 2-4 hours before the selected performance begins.  Winners will be offered the opportunity to purchase either one or two tickets, and lottery winners can pick up their purchased tickets from TodayTix concierge agents outside of the Hudson Theatre.  For tickets and info, download the TodayTix mobile app or visit www.todaytix.com.

Producers Sonia Friedman and Scott Rudin announced today that Tony® Award nominee Tom Sturridge, Olivia Wilde in her Broadway debut, and Tony® Award winner Reed Birney will lead the cast of the Broadway Premiere of the new stage adaptation of George Orwell's dystopian novel 1984.  The trio, who will portray the novel's classic characters Winston Smith, Julia and O'Brien, respectively, will be joined by Wayne Duvall (Parsons), Carl Hendrick Louis (Martin), Nick Mills (Syme), Michael Potts (Charrington), and Cara Seymour (Mrs. Parsons).

Program and young actors from the Young Conservatory, Volleygirls spikes a spirited, heartfelt look at a down-and-out high school volleyball team. Following a string of losses and facing their biggest rival, the girls of Saint Agnes hatch a wild plan to turn their flailing team around-while their self-defeating coach must confront his 'loseritis.'
