    THE MUSICAL production of WONDERLAND due to take place at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre next week has unfortunately been cancelled with immediate effect. The remaining tour dates at theatres in Richmond and Bournemouth have also been cancelled.

    THE BOOK OF MORMON Announces The Drawing Ticket Policy

    THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, is pleased to announce the drawing ticket policy for the National Tour, which begins AUGUST 1ST at the ECCLES THEATER in SALT LAKE CITY and plays a limited three-week engagement through AUGUST 20TH. In SALT LAKE CITY, the production will conduct a pre-show drawing at the box office, making 25 tickets available at $25 apiece. The lineup and drawing will be held on Regent Street near the Regent Street Black Box ticket office entrance.

    Olivier Award winner, West End and Broadway star, and director of the Huntington's Merrily We Roll Along, Maria Friedman brings her critically acclaimed solo show Lenny & Steve: The Music of Bernstein & Sondheim to the Huntington for a one-night only concert event on Monday, September 18 at 7:30pm, accompanied by her longtime collaborator, musical director and pianist Jason Carr. This special cabaret will take place at the Avenue of the Arts / Huntington Avenue Theatre. Tickets are now on sale and start at $25.

    Peninsula Players Hosts Pre-Show Seminar 'How Novels, Films Impact Tourism'

    Peninsula Players Theatre, in conjunction with its production of the Tony Award-winning musical "The Bridges of Madison County" by Jason Robert Brown and Marsha Norman, will host a pre-show seminar Thursday, August 10 starting at 6:30 p.m. in the theater. "The Bridges of Madison County"first captured the nation's attention in 1992 when Robert James Waller's novel became a best-seller, then again in 1995 as a major motion picture starring Clint Eastwood and Meryl Streep. The film was shot on location in Madison County, Iowa and six covered bridges were featured.  Nowhere else in the Midwest can so many covered bridges be found so closely grouped together, thus Madison County and the bridges have become a tourist destination.

    The Movement Theatre Company, a Harlem-based nonprofit committed to showcasing emerging artists of color, opened their production of And She Would Stand Like This by Harrison David Rivers, directed by David Mendizabal, choreographed by Kia LaBeija on July 23rd. The show continues its run until August 6, 2017 at the new A.R.T./NY Theatres in the Mezzanine Theatre, located at 502 West 53rd Street and 10th Avenue.

    The award-winning Clocktower Players, resident theater company of the landmark Irvington Town Hall Theater marked the beginning of its 40th season with a glittering gala on June 9th.  The New York Senate proclaimed it "Clocktower Players Day" and the creative accomplishments, commitment to diversity and dedication to the community were recognized by Senator Andrea Stewart-Cousins, Assemblyman Thomas J. Abinanti, and Greenburg Town supervisor Paul J. Feiner.

    ???????After three weeks of singing Broadway classics, contemporary show tunes, and pop favorites, 'The Vocalist 2017' contestants were narrowed down to the Top Five and a winner was announced: Toni Huegel, 15, of Springfield. She won $1500, and plenty of enthusiastic applause throughout the competition for her smooth vocals. Her final song was 'Someone Else's Story' from THE MUSICAL 'Chess'.

    Chicago Philharmonic and Community Musicians Come Together for Free Concert

    After a record number of participants and patrons attended the second concert in Chinatown in July, the Chicago Philharmonic travels to Humboldt Park for the third Side by Side with the Chicago Philharmonic. The annual program, presented as part of the Chicago Park District's Night Out in the Parks initiative, invites student and community musicians to play alongside the professional musicians of the Chicago Philharmonic in a series of four free concerts in stunning outdoor locations.
