This new play is being produced in Arizona by The Bridge Initiative after its debut in Baltimore. It delves into palliative care and will be presented at the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine (http://aahpm.org/meetings/assembly) in Phoenix on February 24th, 2016, before being publicly presented at Mesa Encore Theatre. We meet prickly businessman Karl Evans, a terminal cancer patient, whose fifth wife, son, and doctor are struggling with their relationships with each other as well as their feelings about Karl's illness.

The McKittrick Hotel and The National Theatre of Scotland announced today that their critically acclaimed production of The Strange Undoing of Prudencia Hart, a transporting, music-filled folk theater fable, created by writer David Greig and director Wils Wilson, has been extended for a third and final time by popular demand. The New York Musical Festival (NYMF) announced today the initial lineup for 2017 NYMF. Among the shows announced in the lineup are the Next Link Project musical selections, as well as invited production selections. Now in its fourteenth year, the 2017 Festival will take place July 10th through August 6th at locations around midtown Manhattan in New York City. Dan Markley serves as NYMF Executive Director & Producer and Rachel Sussman serves as Director of Programming & Artist Services.

Palm Beach Opera is thrilled to announce the 2018 mainstage opera season, which will include performances of Giacomo Puccini's Tosca January 26-28, Leonard Bernstein's Candide February 23-25, and Le nozze di Figaro (The Marriage of Figaro) by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart March 23-25. Monteverdi's L'INCORONAZIONE DI POPPEA--THE CORONATION OF POPPEA--is considered the oldest opera in existence, but the version performed by Concerto Italiano at Carnegie Hall the other night, as part of the La Serenissima Festival (celebrating all things Venetian), showed it is also one of the freshest. It also couldn't be more timely, with an egotistical emperor, spiteful goddesses and servants happy to serve the most powerful people in the land (and get what they can out of it).
