'Off beat brilliance....Beautiful skits and bonkers characters' The Sunday Times ????

One woman’s hilarious search for her family who left her in a bin.

Directed by Matthew Crosby

Fresh from her triumphant Comedy Award-winning run at this year's VAULT Festival (2017), Kat Bond (star of Channel 4’s Comedy Blaps, BBC One’s Call the Midwife, Sky’s The Greatest of all Time, Sketchorama, Expenses Only for Radio 4; one half of critically acclaimed duo That Pair), debuts her first solo character comedy show Kat Bond: Loo Roll, a joy-filled hour of the most intelligent silliness you’ll see at this year's fringe.

Kat’s lovable alter ego, Pat, was left in a bin outside a Papa John's in Luton by her family when she was a baby. Confused, and with nothing but a loo roll to her name, she wants to find out who, what and where they are. Weaving seamlessly between magnetic characters and speed-of-light improv, we see Pat bring her imagined family to life.

Families, like Loo Roll, always run out on you when you need them the most.

‘A potentially lethal dose of joy to the heart' Broadway Baby

Kat Bond is an actress, writer, comedian and clown. She studied acting amongst the likes of The League of Gentlemen at Bretton Hall, and then continued her bohemian dream and went to clown school with Philippe Gaulier. Alongside fellow comic Lorna Shaw, she formed comedy duo That Pair, enjoying sellout runs and critical acclaim at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and Soho Theatre between 2012 and 2015.
On screen, Kat played multiple roles in the BBC Comedy show Kerry with BAFTA-nominated Kerry Howard, as well as appearing in Foster's Edinburgh Comedy Award winner Doctor Brown's Channel 4 Comedy Blaps. More recent credits include BBC’s Call the Midwife, The Agency and Sky Arts' The Greatest of All Time starring Noel Clarke, along with pilots for Massive Dad, Ian Smith, Rob Cawsey and Lazy Susan. Kat has also featured on BBC Radio 4’s Sketchorama and Radio 4 sitcom Expenses Only.

On stage, Kat has most recently performed in a national tour of award winning poet Kate Tempest's play Glasshouse with Cardboard Citizens. Other credits include Aloe Aloe at the Arcola Theatre and the Arts Theatre in the West End. Kat has also developed a new show with bright young playwright Camilla Valerie Whitehall called On the Crest of A Wave which premiered at Vault Festival 2017, where Kat also previewed Loo Roll and won a Vault Comedy Award.

Loo Roll is directed by Matthew Crosby. Matthew is a BAFTA-nominated writer and comedian, best known as one third of sketch act, Pappy’s (twice nominated for the Edinburgh Comedy Award). He co-wrote and co-starred in the BBC Three sitcom Badults. His writing credits include The Last Leg, Harry Hill's Alien Fun Capsule, Mock The Week, Stand Up For The Week, and The Now Show. He has also appeared on Uncle; 8 out of 10 Cats; Never Mind the Buzzcocks; Celebrity 15-1; 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown; and as a news-reading dog on BBC 1’s Animal Antics.
