Tell us a bit about the show.

Adele is Younger Than came from a place of being in your late 20s and having a little 'oh crap' moment. You see so many successful celebrities who are younger than you and think, 'Dear God, what have I been doing with my life?' (Answer: Binge watching netflix series, playing snake on our phones and eating cake) We wanted to write a funny response to that feeling, that hopefully reassures people (and ourselves) that we are actually in the same boat.
The show takes you on a journey of us trying to write the perfect love song like Adele but struggling horribly. When you are in your late 20s with little to no relationship experience what are you supposed to draw on to write that smash-hit love song? We chat and sing though all the various disastrous incidents from our love lives to date. The stories may or may not be true. (It's sadly pretty much all true, in its glorious painful/hilarious entirety). We may have had to change some names... Pretty much if you're thinking you've done something stupid at some point, it's likely we've done it - and worse.
Why bring it to Edinburgh?
Edinburgh is the place to be in August, there's just such a buzz at the festival and you never know what you are gonna see or who you might meet. It's a month of surprises, late nights and Great Performances and the best in the world place to bring new work. (in our opinion. We have no facts to back that up with) Also Sally's pasty Irish skin means she needs to migrate somewhere ideally cool and overcast for the duration of summer, and we bought some really good cagoules last year which we'd like to get a second wear out of.
What sets it apart from other shows at the Fringe?
Rumour has it that Adele may or may not be there*.
*She won't.
Who would you recommend comes to see you?
Anyone who is older than Adele. Anyone who is less successful than Adele. Anyone who likes Adele. Anyone who hates Adele. Anyone who doesn't know who Adele is. Adele.
Are there any other shows you're hoping to catch at the festival?
There's another musical comedy show which we're hoping to catch
called 'By All Accounts Two Normal Girls*' At C Venues. Its by a duo quite similar to us. Very similar. So similar in fact it is us. It's our other show.
Shameless plug aside, there are a load of people we met up at the fringe last year who are bringing new shows this year - The 'Britney' girls are bringing their new show 'John' which will doubtless be brilliant. (Rhiannon's mum actually started recommending 'Britney' over our show last year... so there you go) We're also hoping to see Nina Conti, Courtney Act and Sue Perkins Live In Spectacles (They aren't all in the same show...though that is also a show we would like to see), then some random comedy and a few wild card pieces of theatre and maybe even a dance show. Sally also loves magic, so anything that involves cutting people in half or card tricks. To be honest Edinburgh is like us inside a sweet shop: We want to sample all the sweets, we will attempt to, and then we'll end up being sick in the car on the journey home.

Timings and ticket information for Adele Is Younger Than Us and By All Accounts Two Normal Girls* are available on the edfringe website.
