Tell us a bit about The Girl From Oz

The Girl From Oz is ME Courtney Act Australian Drag performer who's been feeling a little bit homesick after living abroad for the last seven years and decided to - if I couldn't be in Australia then I'd bring Australia to me, and, ahem, Edinburgh... and London.

How has the show gone down with audiences so far?

Well I've gone down on a few of the audience members, but so far none of them have gone down on me.

What inspired you to create OZ

I wanted to celebrate Australian pop culture that the rest of the world may not have realized is Australian. Obviously EVERYONE knows Kylie is Australian but I only recently realized that Air Supply are Australian... I thought more people should know about this.

What sets OZ apart from other circus shows at the Fringe?

It's not a circus show - it's a cabaret show in a beautiful Speigeltent, and besides if it was a circus show I would obviously be the bearded lady and I've had toooooo much hair removal for that to be true.

What have you been doing in the lead up to Edinburgh Fringe?

I was on this wee show called RuPaul's Drag Race, that has catapulted me to international notoriety and I've been touring my show around the US, Australia and Europe getting ready for my debut in Edinburgh.

Who would you recommend OZ to?

It's a fairly all ages show... apart from one two minute video that contains some playful language for Australians and pretty coarse for Brits - C**T.

It has music from the 70s 80s 90s and today, lots of glamour, and me belting out such classics as Xanadu, Land Down Under and Staying Alive.

And I give Staying Alive a Fifty Shades of Grey, meets Lana Del Rae autumnal remix I think it deserves.
