Sarasota County is known as Florida's Cultural Coast with more than ten professional and community theaters offering 3,000 seats for patrons. Patrons can enjoy discounts and deals at many venues during the Sarasota Summer Stage promotion.

Participants and deals include the following:

Asolo Repertory Theater, stages up to 15 professional theatrical productions every season, spanning from newly commissioned plays, bold reinterpretations of classical and contemporary works and provocative musical theatre experiences. The theater is the largest professional not-for-profit theater in the United States south of Atlanta.

Deal: 20% off tickets to BEATSVILLE in May and TWENTY THOUSAND LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA in June. Conditions apply.

Dog Days Theatre is Sarasota's newest theatrical venture. Presented in the Cook Theatre by the FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training, Dog Days features professional actors and artists from the community and country along with graduate student actors.

Deal: Dog Days' inaugural season includes Relatively Speaking during July and Double Indemnity during August. 20% discount on tickets.

Florida Studio Theatre is located in the heart of downtown Sarasota and prides itself as a contemporary theatre.

Deal: 10% off single tickets for the summer season and shows running in May.

McCurdy's Comedy Theater is located in downtown Sarasota's East End and is a world-class showroom devoted to stand-up comedy. The theater brings in national comedic acts.

Players Centre for Performing Arts is dedicated to presenting a diverse and entertaining slate of high quality, volunteer driven theatrical experiences that educate, stimulate and enrich the entire community.

Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe (WBTT) promotes and celebrates the African-American experience, attracting diverse audiences, and developing minority artists. The company is known for producing shows-from Broadway hits and world premiere musicals to comedies and thought-provoking dramas.

Deal: From May 1 - July 23, 2017, buy one ticket for WBTT's summer production of Broadway in Black and get $5 off the second ticket. Conditions apply.

Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall is a true pioneer in the cultural development of Sarasota, the Van Wezel, presents a broad spectrum of the world's finest performers representing the diverse tastes of Southwest Florida residents and visitors. This season, with more than 100 events, the Van Wezel has carried on the long tradition of presenting spectacular Broadway musicals, top national and international performers, popular comedians, world-class symphony orchestras and a compelling mix of classical, modern and ethnic dance.
