In South Boston, good people lean on their neighbors through hardship, nights are spent playing bingo at the local church, and life is lived from paycheck to paycheck. Falling on tough times, Margie Walsh turns to former boyfriend Mikey, who has managed to escape his blue collar upbringing to become a successful doctor. Can she manage to turn her life and luck around? Margie is about to risk what little she has to find out. With surprising plot twists filled with humor and pathos this comic drama about social class asks the question does where we grow up determine our destiny? Is it strength of character or just a few lucky breaks that determines a person’s fate?
