Willows Cabaret Announces Casting For HATS: THE MUSICAL, Runs 11/23-1/10/2010

The Willows Theatre Company proudly presents Hats: The Musical, the rollicking tribute to women "of a certain age" at the Willows Cabaret at the Campbell Theatre in Martinez, CA, November 23, 2009 through January 10, 2010. The musical is directed by Lois Grandi with musical direction by Tim Hanson. Book is by Anthony Dodge and Marcia Milgrom Dodge, with additional material by Rob Bartlett and Lynne Taylor-Corbett.

Hats makes its Northern California debut at the Willows Cabaret after being produced in theatres around the country. The musical celebrates the members of the Red Hat Society and their dedication to proving there is "Fun after Fifty!"

Songs include "My Oven's Still Hot," "Yes We Can," and "Put Your Red Hat On." Of the several contributors to the music and lyrics for Hats are Melissa Manchester, Pam Tillis, and Kathie Lee Gifford.

The show is full of worldly wisdom, straightforward and sometimes naughty, dispensed in lyrics like:

Tickets are $22-$32 with discounts for students (6-18), seniors (65+), groups (10+), and Preview performances.
