Mozart's music soars at Cinnabar with this rich and playful production of his enormously popular opera. Performed entirely in English, The Marriage of Figaro tells a luscious tale of seduction, deception, and forgiveness. The Count keeps chasing skirt, and the Countess wants to catch him in the act. So she conspires with two wisecracking servants who delight audiences as they outwit their master. It's comic opera at its best, mixing saucy jokes and gor≠geous songs of love. After a sold-out run of Carmen, Artistic Director Elly Lichenstein and Music Director Mary Chun reunite for this glorious marriage of music and theater.

The inimitable stage and film star BD Wong (M. Butterfly, Law & Order: Special Victim Unit) will make his A.C.T. debut in this luminous production. In the aftermath of a violent coup, an epic story of self-sacrifice and revenge plays out as a young orphan discovers the shattering truth behind his origins. Often described as the Chinese Hamlet, this gripping tale was the first Chinese play to be translated in the West and has inspired countless operas, plays, and movies.

With his trademark mix of soaring intellect and searing emotion, the legendary playwright unfurls an epic tale of love, family, sex, money and politics-all set under the hard-earned roof of an Italian family in Brooklyn. When Gus decides to die, his kids come home with a raucous parade of lovers and spouses to find that even the house keeps secrets.
