North Bay Company (NBSC), kicks off its 2016-17 season with Frederick Knott's murder mystery masterpiece, Dial "M" for Murder. The production will be performed in the company's intimate and audience-friendly home in the East Auditorium at LBC, running Oct 21-Nov 6, 2016. John Faulkner directs the production, Dial "M" for Murder and is presented through special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc. Cast includes: Michael Walraven, Jesse Bell, Tom McIntyre, Paul Menconi, and Jeffrey Schmidt.

Though it's best known as a film by Alfred Hitchcock, Dial M for Murder was first a successful stage play written by another English master of suspense: Frederick Knott (Wait Until Dark). NBSC production of the classic thriller, deception, betrayal, passion and greed prove potent ingredients for a perfect mystery.

In this intense and darkly gripping thriller, Tony Wendice plans to murder his unfortunate wife to claim her fortune for himself. He arranges for the perfect crime - but things don't quite go according to plan. His wife survives and the contract killer hired to do her in ends up dead. Luckily, the police detective is on the scene to uncover the truth. "Dial M for Murder, a timeless masterpiece of construction and plotting weaves a tangled web of clues and red herrings, back-stabbings and blackmail that will keep you hooked from start to finish," say John DeGaetano, artistic director.

The exciting ending of this erotic and psychologically suspenseful story has thrilled audiences for decades with a highly successful run on Broadway and the road. North Bay Stage Company's Dial "M" for Murder is the most recent production offering for the popular theater company. Previous acclaimed productions include; Witness for the Prosecution, Leading Ladies, Murder on the Nile, The Angel of Chatham Square, The Mikado and West Side Story. The anticipated remainder of their new season will include: The 1940's Radio Hour (Jan - Feb), NBSC's Spring Dance Festival (Mar), A View From the Bridge (Mar - Apr), Guys and Dolls in concert (Apr - May), and Man of La Mancha (July - Aug).

NBSC produces an assortment of events including, comedies, dramas, musicals, dance, & education designed to encourage growth & ambition in performing arts. Their goal as resident company at LBC is to create an increase in the area's pool of talent and give everyone a potential opportunity to perform, in addition to offering various performance styles & experiences for regional theatergoers.
