Magic Theatre is delighted to celebrate the return of Magic's 2011 Playwright in Residence, Christina Anderson, with the world premiere of PEN/MAN/SHIP. The production is directed by Magic Theatre's Associate Artistic Director Ryan Guzzo Purcell and will run today, May 21 - June 15, 2014 at Magic Theatre, Fort Mason Center, Building D, 3rd Floor. OPENING NIGHT is May 28, 2014. Press Dates are May 29 - June 1, 2014.

1896: a father and son board a ship heading for Africa on a mysterious mission with an opinionated young woman. On the open sea, an unexpected detour resurrects family secrets and reveals true intentions, fundamentally changing the course of their journey and their lives forever. Christina Anderson's "work will be transforming America's stages for decades to come" (American Theatre Magazine).

PEN/MAN/SHIP will feature Eddie Ray Jackson*, Tangela Large*, Adrian Roberts*, and Tyee Tilghman*. (*Member of Actors' Equity Association, the Union of Professional Actors and Stage Managers)

The show plays previews: May 21 - May 27, 2014. Opening Night: May 28, 2014. Press Dates: May 28 - June 1, 2014. Regular Run: May 29 - June 15, 2014 - Tuesdays: 7:00pm; Wednesdays - Saturdays: 8:00pm; and Sundays: 2:30pm. Additional performances: Sunday, June 1, 2014 at 7pm; Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at 2:30pm.
