No, this IS NOT Vagina Monologues in spaghetti! Albeit, the lead performers own vaginas. No, this show is something . . . else, of the like you've never witnessed in your adult life. This, my friends, is an unbalanced meal of ridiculous proportions. Join us on a Tuesday evening to enjoy the finger-licking courses we have in store.

Women swimming in irreverence of deities, homages to the past, transport gone wrong, complications of love and lust, relatable predicaments and sauce - lots of sauce. Comedy, drama and burlesque: the weirdest meal you'll ever experience!

MENU:

Apertif: Opening Invocation; "Not Your Mom's Chicken Soup" read by Aaron Simunovich

Wine throughout Dinner: Music by Karen Penley; 'Shitty Little Feelings in a Pretty High Voice'

Soup and Salad: Born Again in Sauce; "Welcome to Life" read by Christina Linksey

First course: Spaghetti a la Cilla; "Pavement Crossing" by Edna Mira Raia

Second Course: Spaghetti a la Russa; "The Lady of Bogochar" by Amelia Van Brunt

Third course: Spaghetti de la Mer; "Chloe and the Big Blue" by Edna Mira Raia

Dessert: Ode to Josephine Baker; "A Food Lover's Dance" by Christina Linksey

Spaghetti Monologues began as a photo shoot idea, but a show manifested to use this amount of pasta to its full potential. "Hold Onto Your Hats!" You've never seen this much spaghetti!

Concerns: Inappropriate imagery? Yes. This is an 18+ show. There will be nudity. Waste? No. All spaghetti is locally composted in a friend's garden which feeds masses of people. Hunger? Spaghetti will be available to eat for a small fee, or off of the bodies, under discretion of artists, for a seasoned donation. Seating is limited. Buy your tickets now!

Edna Mira Raia is a character actor/clown, sound designer, comedy writer and director, not afraid to delve into the vulnerable, dark corners of the sentient experience. After studying Performing Arts & Social Justice at USF, she jumped into the arms of clowns and mimes at Flying Actor Studio, the late physical training conservatory where she learned contemporary mime, commedia mask, and traditional clowning under the instruction of James Donlon, Leonard Pitt and other professionals. Edna had notable press mention for a 2-woman show she developed with Karen Anne Light and the mentorship of John Gilkey called, 'Alice Down the Rwong Wrabbit Whole.' She has been a resident artist at the Climate Theater, the Garage Theater and was a regular performer at the late Dark Room Theater. In 2014, she began her own sketch comedy troupe, Hot Giggles, with six performers of various backgrounds. This is her first official show under her new comedy company, Potatoes Mashed. Now she will prove herself worthy of swimming in food for money.

Amelia Van Brunt is a professional and award-winning actor/creator, clown, burlesque performer and character extraordinaire. She specializes in complete physical transformation and ferocious play in her characters. Amelia has studied at Dell'Arte International School of Physical Theater where she completed a one year Professional Training Program. She is also part of the beloved San Francisco-based clown/burlesque troupe, Fou Fou Ha! with which she helped create and perform the smash hit full-length show 'WHOA-MAN! A Musical.' Amelia just finished an Artist in Residence where she created, directed and performed a one-woman show, 'In the Blue of Evening,' at the San Francisco Circus Center, produced by her own theatre company, "Bad, Bad Bunny."

Christina Linskey a.k.a. Kitty is a little bit of this, and a little bit of that. Favored creative materials: Bacon, Powder, Water, Silver & Mud. A salad of sorts.

Currently 'Kitty' is the owner/proprietor of a unique, odd & arty underground renegade-like speakeasy-style studio-theater art-space.'Little Boxes' which was founded & directed by the ever insatiable AK Arts. This is her life at the moment, day in and day out. So she's nearly always there, (visit her with chocolate), finding herself often challenged by her perception of reality. She dreamt a day would come where her strangest desires and fears would combine to tell her the funniest story only her child-mind could imagine. And it's happening right now.

Karen Penley has been writing, acting and singing her whole life. She makes up and performs her own accordion songs, and acts in work of her own and of others. She opened for 'Alice Down the Rwong Wrabbit Whole' and ran a performance series for a year called 'Retard: The Church Shows.' She has performed for the coolest ever Evan Karp's literary series, 'Quiet Lightning.' She performed to live music by Bill Horvitz in Circus Proboscis: 'A Sneeze of Freaks' as well as Greg Giles and 20 Minute Loop's music in 'Not the More Lovely: A Circus Sideshow.' Karen is working on her own solo show, 'Feral Girl.'
