Humphry Slocombe Ice Cream is celebrating the upcoming U.S. premiere of LUZIA, Cirque du Soleil's new soul-touching Big Top production freely inspired by Mexico, with the creation of a limited-edition ice cream flavor.

Based on the traditional aguas frescas of Mexico, "Horchata Rose" is made with blended rice and infused with sweet rose water, and is an homage to the thematic element of rain at the core of the concept of LUZIA.

Beginning Tuesday, November 1, "Horchata Rose" will be available at both Humphry Slocombe locations (2790 Harrison Street and 1 Ferry Building, San Francisco). In addition, both Humphry Slocombe locations will hold an enter-to-win contest during the month of November for two 4-packs of tickets to attend LUZIA in San Francisco.

Says Jake Godby, Founder of Humphry Slocombe: "LUZIA is inspired by the rich culture and beauty of Mexico, so it seemed like a natural fit to create an ice flavor based on one of Mexico's most recognizable agua frescas. In true Humphry Slocombe fashion, we added a hint of rose water to give the flavor a distinct and unique accent."

Making its U.S. premiere in the San Francisco Bay Area, LUZIA will perform under a redesignEd White-and-gold Big Top at AT&T Park in San Francisco from November 17, 2016 - January 29, 2017, before moving to the Taylor Street Bridge in San Jose from February 9 - March 19, 2017. LUZIA takes you to an imaginary Mexico, like in a waking dream, where light ("luz" in Spanish) quenches the spirit and rain ("lluvia") soothes the soul. Freely inspired by Mexico, LUZIA is a poetic and acrobatic ode that awakens your senses and transports you to a place suspended between dreams and reality. Featuring a cast of 44 performers from diverse artistic backgrounds, LUZIA surprises with acrobatic performances breaking down the barriers, such as integrating rain and water to contemporary circus disciplines.
