To celebrate its one-year anniversary, Feinstein's at the Nikko announced today the return of multi-platinum-selling entertainer Michael Feinstein for four performances only - Thursday, May 29 through Sunday, June 1. Joined by special guest Paula West, who recently completed a sold-out residency at Feinstein's at the Nikko, Feinstein will perform a range of classics from the Great American songbook. Located within Hotel Nikko (222 Mason Street, San Francisco), Feinstein's at the Nikko presents a wide range of entertainers from stage and screen all within an intimate 140-seat cabaret setting. There is a $20 food and beverage minimum per person inside the showroom which guests can use towards cocktails as well as a variety of small plates crafted exclusively for Feinstein's at the Nikko by Executive Chef Philippe Striffeler, through Restaurant Anzu. Cheese and dessert platters will also be available in the showroom.

Michael Feinstein Great American Songbook Initiative, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to increasing the appreciation for the Great American Songbook amongst young people today and preserving it for future generations. This is done through the following initiatives: An annual regional and national high school vocal academies and competition, which awards scholarships and prizes to students across the country; multi-disciplinary curriculum for elementary through high school students, preservation of the physical artifacts of the creators, performers and publishers of the music; Research facility for scholars, historians, and performers; and multimedia gallery for exhibiting our collections to the public. Michael serves on the Library of Congress' National Recording Preservation Board, an organization dedicated to ensuring the survival, conservation and increased public availability of America's sound recording heritage.
In April 2013 Michael released a new CD, Change Of Heart: The Songs of Andre Previn, (Concord) in collaboration with legendary composer-conductor-pianist Andre Previn, with an album celebrating Previn's repertoire from his catalog of pop songs that have most commonly been featured in motion pictures. The album opens with "(You've Had) A Change of Heart." Previn's work is highlighted with four Oscars and 11 Grammy Awards.

Feinstein serves as Artistic Director of the Palladium Center for the Performing Arts, a $170 million, three-theatre venue in Carmel, Indiana, which opened in January 2011. The theater is home to an annual international Great American Arts festival, diverse live programming and a museum for his rare memorabilia and manuscripts. Starting in 2010, he became the director of the Jazz and Popular Song Series at New York's Jazz at Lincoln Center.
