This year we celebrate the 15th anniversary of everyone's favorite mall elf, Crumpet, in The Santaland Diaries by David Sedaris, adapted to the stage by Joe Mantello. Come see the show that has become the cult classic of the "anti-holiday tradition" for San Francisco's audiences, come escape the craziness of the holidays with Combined Artform at the Eureka Theatre.

Mission Mission said about Santaland Diaries:

"Sedaris is a hilarious writer. His sardonic dry wit helps us laugh at ourselves, while bringing out moments of heart and humanity to soften the sarcasm. This production at Eureka theater has been running for fifteen years, and you can tell why it's a holiday staple. The Crumpet we saw was full of energy, and kept the show moving. We left wanting more, which is always a good sign. If you've seen the nutcracker, and are looking for something with a bit more of an edge, this show's for you." http://www.missionmission.org/2015/12/23/drama-talk-drinks-santaland-super-not-pc/

For those not familiar with the Sedaris piece, this production will offer the best opportunity to view what New York Newsday called;

"A sardonic, merrily subversive tale - just the antidote to bright-eyed joy before too many shopping days have passed. Worth more than a photo album full of Santas!"

Called by some as "America's premiere humorist", Sedaris creates a brilliant evocation of Christmas as seen from the other side ...through the eyes of a Macy's elf. Our hero confronts the screaming children, bossy parents, flaky elves, and apathetic Santas with hilarious results!
