Six years ago, Annex Theatre approached "comedian" Emmett Montgomery to come up with something to fill their Sundays in December. What started out as a strange variety show turned into a community of artist and dreamers doing wonderful things on and off the stage.

This month:

Danielle K.L. Grégoire (Seattle producer of the Moth Storyslam / Founder of the Comedy Womb) will help guide us through the special night as co-host!

Portland based writer and comedian and Emmett's adopted little sister Elizabeth Teets will share with us!

House weirdos Travis Vogt and Kevin Clarke will do "something" and it will probably be "good"!

Song & story by beloved human / stage darling Pilar O'Connell!

Something will happen that has never occurred on the Weird and Awesome stage before and just might shake the pillars of heaven!

National touring joketeller / tiny idiot Derek Sheen will close out the evening with stand up!

We will win prizes made by local arts and crafters!
Plus special guests and surprises!

Spin the Bottle

Since 1997, Annex Theatre has been hosting Seattle's grooviest monthly happening. Experience a variety show unlike any other with a curated mix of theatre, music, film, burlesque, dance, spoken word, and the many other treasures the city has to offer. Curated by cool cat Catherine Blake Smith, who surveys the scene for the most delectable, delightful, and downright daring performers. And every evening ends with a raunchy reading of scintillating smut. Far out!

Weird and Awesome with Emmett Montgomery
A monthly parade of wonder and awkward sharing hosted and curated by mustache wizard Emmett Montgomery. Each show features brilliant people doing the things they are really good at doing or something they have never done on stage before. Songs will be sung! Jokes will be told! Hearts will be opened! Prizes will be won! Doors at 7pm, show at 7:30pm!
