Sonoma State University Department of Theatre Arts & Dance presents "How I Learned to Drive" by Paula Vogel. The production will be directed by Danielle Cain.
Fasten your seatbelt, life takes some dangerous curves."How I Learned to Drive" is a wildly funny, harrowing and beautiful play tracing a woman's path through time as she recalls learning the rules of the road (and life) from behind the wheel of her uncle's '62 Buick Riviera. This 1998 Pulitzer Prize-winning drama delicately tells the story of Li'l Bit and her Uncle Peck while exploring issues of abuse, adolescent sexuality, family alienation and manipulation. Featuring guest artist award-winning actor Tim Kniffin.Age recommendation is 15 and older. "How I Learned to Drive" contains adult subject matter.
