North Coast Repertory Theatre has announced its summer events through June 2012, including works by Harold Pinter, artwork by Gerrit Greve and Cirque du Soleil's TOTEM. See full details below.

North Coast Repertory Theatre presents two by Harold Pinter, THE LOVER and THE DUMB WAITER, directed by David Ellenstein MAY 23 - JUNE 17, 2012.

Two of the early one acts by the Master playwright that helped to broaden the course of theatrical expression, these two taut comedic dramas still pack the same punch as when first written. Thrillingly sexy with an air of mystery, THE LOVER will keep you on The Edge of your seat as the worlds of fantasy and reality collide. With THE DUMB WAITER's great humor, absurdity and wit this "comedy of menace" twists to its unexpected conclusion. A rare and welcome treat for the theatre lover.

No Man's Land by Harold Pinter, a Classic Reading Series Event with a special talk-back following the performance, will feature Richard Baird, Frank Corrado, David Ellenstein, Ken Ruta on Monday, June 11, 2012, at 8:00 PM. Subscriber tickets only $15. Regular tickets $20.

In this masterpiece of deceit and wit, a mysterious stranger visits the house of a famous English poet and the two men verbally grapple and spar in a limbo of circuitous logic, recovering and reconciling their memories of days gone by. With the aid of a good deal of vodka, loads of whiskey and a little champagne, the two of them unearth their successes, adventures, and women won and lost. A poignant comedy steeped in ambiguity, Pinter's No Man's Land plumbs the space between what is known and what is imagined. Strong adult language.

North Coast Repertory Theatre Café & Gallery also announces An Exhibit of Art work by Gerrit Greve. The Exhibition runs from May 23 through June 17 and is open during performance hours at the North Coast Repertory Theatre Café and Gallery, adjacent to North Coast Repertory Theatre, located at 987 Lomas Santa Fe Drive, Suite D, Solana beach, Calif.

ARTSIT'S RECEPTION: May 30, 2012, 6pm - 7pm. Prior to the performance of The Lover & The Dumb Waiter. Gerrit Greve will be at the reception to answer any questions. There will be wine with cheese and crackers served. The Artist's Reception is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

Finally, Cirque du Soleil returns to San Diego with TOTEM, under the Big Top at the Del Mar Fairgrounds through May 27th only.

TOTEM traces the fascinating journey of the human species from its original amphibian state to its ultimate desire to fly. Set on a stage inspired by the giant turtle that represents earth's origins in many ancient civilizations, and drawing inspiration from various creation myths, TOTEM illustrates, through a visual and acrobatic language, the evolutionary progress of species. Somewhere between science and legend TOTEM explores the ties that bind Man to other species, his dreams and his infinite potential. A fascinating journey into the evolution of mankind.
