The talented women of the San Diego Women's Chorus are at it again! Join them Saturday, February 4th for SDWC's second annual love-themed cabaret fundraiser, Sugar & Spice, at The Irenic in North Park.

Sugar & Spice will feature solo, duet and small ensemble singing acts as well as dance, spoken word and instrumental music performed by chorus members.

Tickets start at just $20 ($25 for reserved table seating) and are available at sdwc.ticketleap.com/sugar--spice. VIP seats include front and center seating plus complimentary food, drink, and opportunity tickets as well as tableside service. Seating at the venue is limited, so attendees are encouraged to buy tickets early.

Sugar & Spice will be a musical buffet offering up the many flavors of love, with selections that span many decades and all genres. Audiences will hear rock and pop selections from Miley Cyrus, The Mamas & the Papas, Hall & Oats and more, alongside bluesy jazz, country, 60's bubblegum, and even classical instrumental music. If you haven't been to one of SDWC's cabarets yet, you're in for a treat that is guaranteed to be both sweet and savory.

"Our cabaret events are a blast," says Amanda Smith, SDWC Vice President and fundraising co-chair. "Our members love showcasing their individual talents and our audience always has a great time. It's also an important event for us in terms of our fundraising, especially as we enter our 30th anniversary season during this tumultuous time in our country when the amplification of LGBTQ and women's voices is needed more than ever."

The show starts at 7:30, but be sure to arrive early to enjoy the pre-show happy hour that begins at 6:30. Complimentary coffee and water will be provided, and donations are encouraged for the array of delicious appetizers, beer and wine. You'll also have the chance to bid on amazing silent auction items and pick-your-prize opportunity basket selections from Keurig, iFLY indoor skydiving, and Loot Crate, as well as spa and massage packages, movie tickets and more. All proceeds from the event will support SDWC's ambitious goal to raise $30,000 in honor of its 30th anniversary season.

Tickets are available at sdwc.ticketleap.com/sugar--spice. The Irenic is located at 3090 Polk Ave in North Park.

SDWC is a lesbian-identified, feminist sisterhood of musicians that welcomes members from the vastly diverse LGBTQA and straight-ally communities. Founded in 1987 by community activist Dr. Cynthia Lawrence, SDWC has grown from a group of 14 lesbians gathered around a piano in a private home to a thriving community with over 125 members who believe in the power of music and the power of women. For 30 years, SDWC has provided a safe space that encourages women's creativity, celebrates diversity, and inspires social action. SDWC is a non-profit community chorus that strives to entertain and inspire audiences with music that speaks to issues as diverse as human rights, love, world peace, religious freedom, environmental harmony, inclusion and intersectionality. SDWC supports and affirms the music of women, as well as lesbian and gay composers and arrangers. More information can be found at www.sdwc.org.
