STAR Repertory Theatre to Stage LES MISERABLES Next Month

STAR Repertory Theatre, winner of the 2014 San Diego A-List for Best Theatre Group, is San Diego's premier community theatre company. STAR Rep is proud to present their adult production of LES MISERABLES, in a beautiful Historical Venue; The AVO Playhouse in Downtown Vista, April 17 - May 10, 2015. This may be the last time San Diego patrons will be able to see this spectacular show, since the authors will be restricting the rights indefinitely starting June 2015!

In 2013, STAR Rep's highly successful production of this international smash-hit, won critical acclaim with 10 sold out shows, and 10 standing ovations. With over 80 talented actors and actresses in their 2015 cast, and an amazing live orchestra, this will be the most amazing STAR Rep production yet!

STAR Rep COO/Founder and Director Scott Kolod is extremely happy to be able to bring LES MISERABLES to the stage in San Diego one last time..."In casting this show, I had a dream that I would be able to find outstanding singing leads who would also look like the character visions that I had in my head. I am so ecstatic to have two 6'2" handsome and strapping, body builder specimens of men that can sing as well, or better than, any Valjean that has appeared on the New York or London stages. I was lucky enough to find to equally commanding Javerts, two powerhouse singing Eponines, two lovely and angelic sounding soprano singing Cosettes, two acting phenoms for Fantine, along with perfect Thenardiers, Marius' and Enjorlas'. If that were not enough, the cast is rounded off by a huge and powerful 80 person ensemble. This production will impress even the biggest skeptics that may not want to believe that a professional Broadway-esque production of LES MISERABLES can be launched in the small 300 person theatre located in Vista, California."

STAR Rep has compiled an incredible production team, and an equally impressive cast with local and New York professionals. STAR Rep President, Brandon Sherman, recently seen in Lamb's Players Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Les Miserables, and Fiddler on the Roof, will be reprising his 2013 role of the imprisoned Jean Valjean. Evan White, recently seen in La Jolla Playhouse's U.S. Premiere of The Hunchback of Notre Dame, will also be sharing the role of Valjean with Sherman. Critical acclaimed, and BroadwayWorld.com favorite, Anthony Logan Cole, has come all the way from New York City to play the dogmatic Inspector Javert! Cole has played Javert over 200 times in regional and international tours. Julio Catano-Yee, currently performing in both the San Diego Opera, and the San Diego Ballet, will be playing the role of Marius...and the list of the incredible talent in STAR Rep's LES MISERABLES goes on and on!
