BJ Lawrence

BJ Lawrence is a bohemian performer who has been performing at SeaWorld for the last 8 years where he has hosted the Dolphin show, the Pets Rule show, the Sea Lion and Otter show performing as "Biff", as well as other seasonal productions.  He has performed for over 15 million people at the park. For the past 3 years, He is half of the music duo BJ and Todd who play throughout the greater San Diego area.  He is the BJ part.  They perform wednesday nights at The Waterfront bar and grill, and at other locations around town.  They feature a wide variety of popular music ranging from Johnny Cash, to Eminem, to The Cure, to whatever the crowd can think of, as a staple of a show are impromptu versions of songs never tried or practiced before. BJ spent 12 years before San Diego in Seattle, where he performed on the dinner cruise boat "Spirit of Puget Sound" as a singing/dancing waiter.  The job didn't require singing or dancing and it eventually cost him his job.  (Just kidding, it was an awesome performing job) as well as acting in plays and doing stand up comedy. Although BJ has been performing for a living for 16 of the last 18 years, this is the first stage play he has done in almost 20 years.  That was a Cornish College of the Arts play in Seattle that was directed by Brendan Fraser.  He hopes Matt Thompson enjoys his run as the director of his last play, since it was always fun to say "Brendan Fraser was my last director",  however long Matt holds that title. BJ performed in several plays in College at Mt Hood community college in Gresham Oregon, where he played Big Daddy in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Audrey II in Little shop of Horrors, Orsinio in Twelfth NIght, as well as performing in Pippin, A Chorus Line, and A Dragon's Tale. Please "Like" BJ and Todd on facebook.
