Executive Producer Lou Spisto today announced that the Globe will present a one-night-only benefit performance of Celebrity Autobiography: In Their Own Words, the award-winning comedy sensation in which superstar memoirs are acted out live on stage. Created by writer/producer Eugene Pack and Dayle Reyfel, Celebrity Autobiography was honored with a 2009 Drama Desk Award for Unique Theatrical Experience and has since played to packed houses in Los Angeles, San Francisco and London. Proceeds from this special event will benefit the Globe's artistic and educational activities. Celebrity Autobiography will be performed in the Old Globe Theatre on Monday, December 6 at 7:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online at www.TheOldGlobe.org, by phone at (619) 23-GLOBE or by visiting the Box Office.

Celebrity Autobiography features a comedic ensemble performing from the actual memoirs of a wide range of celebrities. The passages run the gamut from the "poetry" of Suzanne Somers to the shocking "romance tips" from Tommy Lee to the most famous Hollywood love triangle in history: ElizaBeth Taylor, Debbie Reynolds and Eddie Fisher. And what's remarkable and unforgettably hilarious - it's all in their own words.

"I am thrilled that with this terrific event we will be bringing back six amazing Globe ‘alums'," said Spisto. "This fundraiser celebrating our 75th anniversary will be hilarious and significant because of the presence of these talented actors who mean so much to the Globe and to our audiences."

The lineup for Celebrity Autobiography includes Old Globe alumni Tovah Feldshuh (Old Globe Associate Artist; Romeo and Juliet, 1980, Golda's Balcony; 2010, Kissing Jessica Stein), John Goodman (Henry IV, 1996; The Big Lebowski, "Roseanne"), Paul Michael (The Last Romance, 2010), Kathy Najimy (The Robber Bridegroom, 1978, Dirty Blonde, 2000; Sister Act, "Veronica's Closet"), Marion Ross (Twelfth Night, 1949, Summer and Smoke, 1973, The Last Romance, 2010; "Happy Days") and Michael Urie (A Midsummer Night's Dream, 2006; "Ugly Betty"), with Eugene Pack and Dayle Reyfel.

Eugene Pack is an Emmy Award-nominated writer and TV producer. He was nominated for Outstanding Writing for a Variety, Music or Comedy Program for the "America: A Tribute to Heroes," which won the Emmy for Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Special. Pack is the creator and executive producer of the popular CMT series "Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team," now in its fifth season, "Back to the Grind" (TV Land) and "What I Hate About Me" (Style). As a playwright, he has written (and performed) the critically acclaimed one man shows The Senior and Something Flexible With Meaning and the play Elinor Adjusting. His play Stan the Man, developed at Theatre West, was optioned for the screen. His most recent work, Columbus and Amsterdam, was workshopped with the Naked Angels at Vassar College's NY Stage and Film Company. Pack collaborated with Motown founder Berry Gordy on his autobiographical musical To Be Loved.

Dayle Reyfel was executive producer for the Bravo special of Celebrity Autobiography, as well as a performer. She was executive producer for E! Entertainment's "In Their Own Words," segment producer/director for Bravo's "A-List Awards" and a creative consultant for the G4 Network. Reyfel is also an award-winning playwright for her play Slip/Knot, and her new play No Annabel Here will be produced next year.
