Renowned classical pianist Jeeyoon Kim, D.M.A. will celebrate her newest CD album, "10 More Minutes" with an exclusive concert and National CD Release event at the Auditorium at The Scripps Research Institute (TSRI) on Sunday, December 11th from 3 p.m.- 4:30 p.m.

The "10 More Minutes" Concert features many of the selections from the CD.These are pieces that Jeeyoon has often performed as encores, the result of audiences asking her to play for "ten more minutes" of her captivating artistry. The concert will be an hour long, without intermission, followed by a meet and greet reception with Dr. Kim. It is suggested for ages 12 and over and guests are encouraged to arrive at least 5-10 minutes early. There will be free parking.

Dr. Kim's concert events combine dazzling technical mastery and profound musicianship with thoughtful discourse on the nature of the creative process and the diverse and beautiful relationships between music, ourselves, and the natural world around us. Audiences will experience a new, more engaging way of listening to a classical concert. The CD project was initiated and successfully completed with crowdfunding by Kickstarter in December, 2015 by her followers and fans. Dr. Kim says, "I envision this album as if we are enjoying "tapas", instead of a heavy five-course meal. This "musical light fare" includes familiar works by Schubert, Chopin, Schumann and Debussy".

Jeeyoon received her Doctorate of Music and Masters of Music in Piano Performance from Jacob School of Music at Indiana University. Her global performance appearances include FortePiano Salon Live Series, live broadcasting on Chicago's classical music channel, WFMT, 98.7, Hilbert Circle Theatre in Indianapolis, Wheeler Concert Hall at the University of Evansville, GloVil Art Hall in Korea, Judson Park Auditorium in Cleveland, the Mozarteum Festival in Salzburg, Austria, the San Diego Symphony Chamber Music Series, and the La Jolla Music Society Discovery Series. She has collaborated with soloists including violinist Phillippe Quint, Cellist Johannes Moser and Violinist Ning Feng.
