As one beloved Cygnet member spreads his wings to make his new home in Seattle, Washington, two new staff members are settling in to make their home at Cygnet Theatre. Joshua Rowland, Cygnet's Patron Services Manager since January 2007, ends his position with Cygnet on August 23rd. Mike "Rojo" Reynolds will take over as Cygnet's new Patron Services Manager and Jessica John has been named Cygnet's new Public Relations Director. Both officially took their Cygnet titles on August 10th.

Joshua Rowland has accepted a position as Ticket Office Manager at the esteemed Intiman Theatre, now in its 36th Season. The Intiman (which means "the intimate" in Swedish), named after August Strindberg's small theatre in Stockholm, was founded with an emphasis on international dramatic literature. Joshua, who hopes to expand his knowledge of theatre management by experiencing other unique theatre companies in the country, will be deeply missed.

As Patron Services Manager, Mike Reynolds will oversee the box office staff, develop and implement sales policies, serve as the ticket liaison to all departments and work directly with patrons and subscribers. He will work closely with Joshua Rowland during this two-week transition and is a welcome addition to Cygnet Theatre Staff.

As Director of Public Relations, Jessica John will assume all strategic public relations programs formally handled by Manny Fernandes. This transition will allow Manny Fernandes, Cygnet's Marketing Director since 2007, to focus on his increased marketing responsibilities associated with the expansion of Cygnet Theatre into the new Old Town Theatre. Jessica John will be working directly with media relations, as well as partnering with Manny Fernandes, Cygnet's Marketing Director, and Veronica Murphy, Cygnet's Development Director to create exciting community-focused programs for Cygnet Theatre.

Jessica was previously a Marketing Account Executive with Lincoln Financial Media, a nationally traded media company, for approximately 15 years. She also handled all media and PR for her own theatre company, Backyard Productions, and was the Marketing Director for New Village Arts Theatre for two years.

Jessica is a Resident Artist of Cygnet Theatre. Her roles with Cygnet include Anna in Burn This (SD Critic's Circle Award for Best Lead Female), Maggie in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (SD Playbill Award for Best Lead Female), Abbie in Desire Under the Elms, Poopay in Communicating Doors (Patte Award for Best Production), Molly in Love Song, Jackie in Mauritius and she can currently be seen as Brooke/Vicki in Noises Off.

"I am incredibly excited to bring my experience with media relations to a company I love and respect so much," said Jessica. "It seems such a natural fit for me to focus on promoting and highlighting all the exciting things going on at a company I truly believe in."

Noises Off has been extended through September 6th! To see Jessica, and the rest of the exemplary cast, in Noises Off call the box office at (619) 337-1525. You can also purchase tickets online at www.cygnettheatre.com.
