A beloved friendship of the storybook characters Frog and Toad comes to life with song and dance in a musical journey for the whole family. The Tony Award nominated production, A Year with Frog and Toad, is based on Arnold Lobel's popular children's series. It features book and lyrics by Willie Reale and a jazzy, upbeat score composed by his brother Robert Reale. The cheerful Frog and his grumpy sidekick, Toad, travel through the seasons on a heartwarming adventure. The story includes their animal friends in a variety show of entertainment with life lessons learned along the way.

Coronado Playhouse, the Community's Theatre, is partnered with Pickwick Players, Your East County Theatre Family, for an exciting first-time collaboration sharing production resources and a commitment to quality entertainment. The community theatre team presents A Year with Frog and Toad June 18-July 12, 2015 in the intimate Coronado Playhouse cabaret theatre setting. During the run of the show, both companies are dedicated to raising awareness and money to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego. The House is specifically designed to provide a home away from home for families with hospitalized children - including 47 bedrooms, hot meals and a children's play area for siblings - so families can focus their attention on supporting their sick or injured child instead of worrying about day-to-day needs. Every year, more than 1,500 families are helped and the need for overnight services far exceeds its 47-room capacity. For more information on programs please visit www.rmhcsd.org . Ronald McDonald's Red Shoe will be in the lobby of the theatre for donations during the run of the show as part of the annual Red Shoe Day fundraising campaign.
